Jim Beyer
has been a labor and employment lawyer for over 30 years, working with AmLaw 100 firms and leading global labor and employment teams for large multinational corporations. After graduating with highest honors (12th in his class) from IIT Chicago Kent College of Law, he clerked in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois before joining Seyfarth Shaw, one of the country's top labor and employment law firms. Following his tenure at Seyfarth, Mr. Beyer practiced with Gardner, Carton & Douglas (now Faegre Drinker). He then began his in-house legal career at IBM. In 1998, Mr. Beyer was hired as the first labor and employment lawyer at Accenture (then Andersen Consulting), where he managed all labor and employment law issues, and guiding Accenture from a private partnership through an IPO to become publicly traded on the NYSE. During his tenure, the Accenture employment law team grew to 18 lawyers globally and achieved a 100% employee engagement score. Mr. Beyer was named the Accenture North American Legal Mentor of the year in 2010. He also led the award-winning legal corporate citizenship program at Accenture. Mr. Beyer rejoined Seyfarth Shaw in 2011 as senior counsel. In 2014, he joined General Electric's labor and employment law team and received the First Chair Award for Top Employment Counsel in 2015. In 2017, Mr. Beyer was hired as the Global Head of Employment Law and Immigration at Infosys, a Fortune 500 corporation where he led a team of 20 employment lawyers worldwide. In 2020, he took a leave from full-time legal practice to pursue his longtime dream of writing a legal fiction novel. Mr. Beyer resumed his full-time legal practice in 2023, joining Axiom Global and working as a contractor for Hilton. He is a frequent speaker and writer on labor and employment topics both in the United States and internationally. Mr. Beyer was named as a fellow in the prestigious College of Labor and Employment Lawyers in 2006 and has been an adjunct professor of law at IIT Chicago Kent College of Law since 2004, teaching courses in Privacy Rights and Employment Law and International Employment Law. He has served on the board of several pro bono legal organizations, and is currently on the Alumni Board of Directors for IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. Mr. Beyer also is a pro bono legal volunteer for Administer Justice. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with current practitioners and the next generation of employment lawyers.

Peter J. Gillespie
is partner with Laner Muchin, Ltd. He represents and counsels management on a wide array of employment law-related issues, including workplace safety and health, wage and hour laws, prevailing wage issues, covenants not to compete, discrimination and harassment, wrongful discharge, whistleblower claims, class actions, hiring, discipline, promotion and dismissal decision-making, workplace privacy, and statutory compliance. Mr. Gillespie provides employers with strategic advice to help meet their objectives while reducing potential litigation risks. He handles litigation in both federal and state courts as well as claims pending with state and federal administrative agencies including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of Labor, Illinois Department of Human Rights and Illinois Department of Labor. He earned his B.A. degree from Northwestern University and his J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center.

Brian B. Selchick
is a partner with Cullen and Dykman LLP's Corporate department. He also serves as the firm's labor and employment practice group leader and as a member of the Higher Education Practice group. Mr. Selchick is an experienced labor and employment lawyer with a focus on representing employers and executives in both the public and private sectors. From serving as the chief negotiator in union contract negotiations to conducting workplace investigations to advising on day-to-day employment matters, his practice encapsulates all aspects of labor and employment law. Mr. Selchick frequently serves as outside labor counsel to companies and governmental entities, including serving as outside counsel to the New York State Assembly's Committee on Ethics and Guidance. He routinely handles high stake and sensitive employment matters for employers. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Selchick served as the director of employee relations and training for the University at Albany for the State University of New York, where he managed a unionized workforce of approximately 5,000 employees represented by six different statewide unions. During his time with the University, he conducted over 1,500 internal investigations involving fraud, workplace misconduct, discrimination, hostile work environment claims, breach of contract, Public Officers Law violations, out-of-title claims, improper practice charges, unethical behavior and other general matters. During his career, Mr. Selchick successfully and directly handled the separation of employees from state service, including dozens of just cause terminations. He also represented the interests of the University in labor-management meetings, disciplinary, contract and administrative matters, including at the New York State Public Employment Relations Board ("PERB"). Additionally, Mr. Selchick handled matters relating to statutory compliance with respect to FERPA, OWBPA, ADEA, ADA, OTETA, NYS Human Rights Law, NYS Corrections Law and critically, NYS Civil Service Law, namely, the Taylor Law. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Union College and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Albany Law School.

Michael Boreale
is the founder of Boreale Law, PLC, a Tucson-based law firm that provides flat fee and fixed-price services to small and medium-sized businesses, with a focus on business, employment, real estate, and international law matters. His goal is to partner with his clients to help grow their businesses. With more than 15 years of legal experience, Mr. Boreale's background is varied and includes labor and employment law, business formations, contracts, real estate, immigration, and estate planning. Prior to forming Boreale Law, PLC in 2012, he served as an in-house counsel attorney with U.S. Customs & Border Protection. Mr. Boreale attended law school at the University of Arizona and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Seth P. Briskin
is a partner in the law firm of Meyers, Roman, Friedberg & Lewis. He provides labor and employment counsel to private, public sector and non-profit organizations. Mr. Briskin represents employers and executives in employment litigation, wage and hour matters, non-competition and trade secret litigation, workers' compensation claims/appeals, union organizing drives, collective bargaining, labor arbitrations and all manner of disputes involving the NLRB, OSHA, EEOC, OCRC, BWC and the Department of Labor. Mr. Briskin also prepares employment and consulting contracts, confidentiality and non-competition agreements and advises clients on severance packages and separation agreements. He is a member of the Ohio State and Cleveland Metropolitan bar associations. Mr. Briskin earned his B.S. degree from Cornell University and his J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve School of Law.

is senior legal counsel at onXmaps, Inc. onXmaps is a Montana-based mobile apps company which provide maps for hunters and other outdoor recreation. The company aggregates nationwide data on property ownership, trails, permitted land use, and many other parameters. Ms. Hammer was previously a mediator, contract management attorney, and dispute resolution and legal operations consultant. She earned her B.S. degree from College of Saint Benedict, her M.P.A. degree from Montana State University, Bozeman and her J.D. degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Ms. Hammer is admitted to practice law in Montana.
