Patrick Kelly
is an attorney with Gray Reed. He is a commercial litigator with experience representing clients through every stage of the dispute resolution process. While serving as first and second chair, Mr. Kelly has successfully advocated for his clients in state, federal and bankruptcy courts across Texas. With clients in the construction, oil and gas, banking, private equity and manufacturing industries, he has experience with a broad range of legal issues, including breach of contract, fraud, partnership disputes, business divorces, payment disputes, construction defects, liens, payment bond claims, adversary proceedings, the bankruptcy claims process, Chapter 11 bankruptcy issues, UCC claims, and sovereign immunity. Mr. Kelly earned his B.A. degree from The University of Texas at Arlington, and his J.D. degree from Baylor University School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association (Commercial Law, Construction Law, and Bankruptcy sections), and Houston Young Lawyers Association. Mr. Kelly is admitted to practice in Texas, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Northern, Southern and Western districts of Texas.

Yevgeniy Pilman
focuses his practice in the areas of real estate, business, administrative law and finance. His experience gives him a unique perspective on the intersection of the business and real estate markets. Mr. Pilman has extensive experience representing domestic and foreign, institutional, private equity, lender, developer and landlord clients in pursuing real estate acquisitions, new development, joint ventures, financing, construction agreements, and leasing transactions as part of a broad-based transactional practice that spans the entire life of a development from site selection due diligence to acquisition, development and occupancy. Additionally, Mr. Pilman has extensive experience in land use and zoning law and advises clients on as-of-right property development potential, available discretionary entitlements, as well as environmental, political and regulatory issues that impact the use and development of real property. Mr. Pilman has worked with teams of developers, architects and environmental consultants in securing variances, rezonings, special permits, certifications and authorizations. Mr. Pilman is admitted to practice in New York.

Diea Schum
is a senior counsel at Buchalter in the firm's Sacramento office and a member of the litigation practice group. She focuses her practice on commercial, construction, and real estate litigation, including construction disputes, real estate contract disputes, property damage claims and litigation. Ms. Schum has tried cases involving delay and extra work claims, construction defect, and mold claims. Her clients include public and private owners, developers, general contractors, and design professionals. Ms. Schum was an attorney in Florida handling commercial litigation matters for Fortune 500 companies, partnership and/or corporation breakups, construction defect, contract disputes, intellectual property issues, and other business disputes. She began her legal career as a law extern to multiple judges at the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court in West Palm Beach, Florida. Ms. Schum earned her J.D. degree, with honors, from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where she served as senior editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review. She earned her B.A. degree in economics from Michigan State University.

Kate K. Van Namen
is the co-chair of Butler Snow LLP's cnstruction task force and a member of the firm's commercial litigation practice group. She is licensed to practice law in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas and concentrates her practice in all areas of construction law, including contract drafting and negotiation, project delivery systems, liens, licensing issues, construction mediation, litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution procedures. Ms. Van Namen has experience drafting and negotiating all types of construction contracts, including lump sum, guaranteed maximum price, cost plus, construction management, design build, and design services agreements on behalf of owners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and design professionals. She also has experience representing sureties on multi-state performance bond claims and asserting and defending payment bond claims. Ms. Van Namen has previously counseled clients on international construction projects and helped navigate project delivery and project management issues with foreign governments. She earned her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Delta State University and her J.D. degree, magna cuma laude, from University of Mississippi.

Mark B. Hazelbaker
is an attorney with Weld Riley, S.C. He continues to emphasize representation of local governments, small businesses, and litigation. Mr. Hazelbaker began his career as legal counsel of the Wisconsin Counties Association. He served as personnel director/corporation counsel, and later as administrative coordinator for Manitowoc County. Mr. Hazelbaker has been in private practice since 1992, first with downtown Madison law firms, and then in his own firm since 1999. He has lectured many times on labor and employment law, land use law, and municipal law for various business and professional groups. Mr. Hazelbaker has also published law reviews and other articles. He is a member of the Dane County Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin (Litigation, Labor and Employment, and Government Lawyers Division sections). Mr. Hazelbaker earned his B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin and his J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
