is the founding partner with the Leawood law firm of Goza & Honnold, LLC with more than 30 years of experience trying lawsuits and managing high stake litigation throughout the country. After graduating and before starting his own law firm, he was a partner at a large nationally known firm. Mr. Honnold was a defense attorney from 1989 to 2004, representing hospitals, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and physicians in product liability and medical negligence litigation. In 2005, he made the switch to representing plaintiffs. Mr. Honnold, along with his friend and law partner Kirk Goza, started Goza & Honnold, LLC. After working as a defense lawyer, he wanted to use his expertise to represent clients who had experienced an injury caused by medical malpractice. She focuses her practice on a wide range of civil litigation defense and has extensive experience handling medical malpractice and healthcare defense matters. In that role, Mr. Goldsmith gained extensive federal and state court experience in a variety of areas representing state agencies and state employees including 42 U.S.C. § 1983 claims, small claims, habeas and post-conviction relief petitions, and petitions for removal from the Sex and Violent Offender registry. He also clerked in the Appeals section of the Attorney General's office in law school, where he worked on civil and criminal appeals in state and federal courts. He was an associate editor for the Southern University Law Review by virtue of his article, "Louisiana's Comparative Fault Doctrine and the Mitigation of Damages," which was cited by the Louisiana Supreme Court. He devotes his practice to personal injury and wrongful death cases, including vehicle accidents, medical negligence, nursing home negligence, professional malpractice, maritime accidents, premises accidents and injuries at work. Mr. Hallack has lectured extensively on medical malpractice, nursing home abuse/negligence, alternative dispute resolution, proving damages, evidence and workers' compensation issues. He routinely handles large losses involving fires and explosions causing personal injuries, fatalities and property damage. Mr. Jarzyniecki  uses his 40 years of experience to spearhead pre-suit investigations, including evidence preservation, expert retention and early claim evaluation. His trial experience finds him handling cases related to a wide range of products as well as defending fire suppression system installers and inspectors. In addition, he regularly works with insurance companies on a variety of first-party issues. Mr. Jarzyniecki also defends local utility companies in litigation related to personal injury, property damage and wrongful death. Mr. Jarzyniecki is a past-chair of the Fire Science and Litigation Specialized Litigation Group (SLG) for the Defense Research Institute (DRI).
