Speaker bio
Peder T. Punsalan-Teigen
is a principal of the firm Skellenger Bender. He focuses his practice on a wide range of family law matters, including dissolutions of marriage, domestic partnerships and committed intimate relationships, complex asset divisions, parentage, parenting and child custody, child support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and LGBTQ+-specific family law issues. Beyond his work with the firm, Mr. Punsalan-Teigen is actively involved and committed to promoting excellence in the legal community and ensuring access to justice for LGBTQ individuals and families, as well as other minority and underrepresented populations throughout Washington. He routinely publishes and presents on topics in family law and issues facing the LGBTQ+ community, and he is an editor for the Washington Family Law Deskbook. Mr. Punsalan-Teigen has also provided expert testimony in immigration and asylum cases on Washington statutory and common law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association, Family Law Institute, National LGBT Bar Association, QLaw (the LGBTQ+ Bar Association of Washington), Filipino Lawyers of Washington, and William L. Dwyer American Inn of Court. Mr. Punsalan-Teigen is the former chair for the LGBTQ+ Law Section of the Washington State Bar Association. He currently serves on both QLaw's Issues & Advocacy and Social & Services committees, and he is a co-chair on QLaw's Judicial Evaluations Committee. Mr. Punsalan-Teigen earned his J.D.degree, magna cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law. While at Seattle University, he was a note & comment editor on Seattle University Law Review and served on the boards of moot court, OUTLaws, International Refugee Assistance Project, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Mr. Punsalan-Teigen took first place in both mock trial and mock appellate competitions, and represented Seattle University at the Texas Young Lawyers Association Regional Mock Trial Competition. Mr. Punsalan-Teigen was inducted into the Order of Barristers.er

Alan S. Funk
is a partner with Wechsler Becker, LLP in Seattle, a ten attorney firm exclusively practicing family law. He has been practicing family law since 1992, and has acted as a Title 26 guardian ad litem and a volunteer court appointed special advocate. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Washington and his J.D. degree from Willamette's College of Law. Mr. Funk is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the State Bar of California. His volunteer work includes Eastside Legal Clinic; an arbitrator on King County Mandatory Arbitration Panel; King County Superior Court Settlement Conference master; an instructor for a King County "How to Finish Your Divorce" class; and a member of the King County Bar Association Courts and Judiciary Committee, and the Judicial Evaluations Committee. Mr. Funk is past secretary and then member of the King County Bar Association's Board of Trustees, past secretary of the King County Bar Association Family Law Section, past vice-chair of King County Bar Association Family Law Section, and past chairman of King County Bar Association Family Law Section.

Erin M. Blower
is an attorney with McKinley Irvin PLLC, where she focuses her practice on family law litigation. Ms. Blower works on dissolution of marriage and domestic partnership cases, custody cases, and enforcement of dissolution decrees and parenting plans. She is admitted to practice in Washington and Minnesota, and is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the King County Bar Association, Family Law Section. Ms. Blower earned her B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota and her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School.

is a partner with McKinley Irvin PLLC where he focuses his practice on adoption, child custody and support, divorce, domestic violence, LGBT law, relocation, and unmarried couples. Mr. Bohan is a member of the Washington Mediation Association, Federal Trial Bar, Snohomish County (Family Law Section) and American (Family Law Section & Litigation Section) bar associations. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Washington and his M.A. degree and J.D. degree from Vermont Law School.

Michael W. Louden
is an attorney with Wechsler Becker, LLP, and has been practicing law in Seattle since 1995. He focuses primarily on family law matters, but also has handled property and landlord-tenant disputes, personal injury cases, bankruptcy issues, and criminal defense cases. Mr. Louden’s practice currently emphasizes mediation and arbitration in family law disputes. He also serves as a King County family law commissioner pro tem. Mr. Louden has served as a guardian ad litem and court appointed special advocate to represent children's interests in domestic relations matters. He is a past chair of the King County Bar Association's Family Law Section and has a long-term involvement in the King County Bar Association's family law legislative agenda. Mr. Louden has handled a number of family law appeals. For 15 years, he was the editor of the Washington Lawyer's Practice Manual Family Law Section. Mr. Louden was educated at Earlham College and the University of Washington School of Law.

is an associate at Wong Fleming Attorneys at Law in Redmond, Washington. Her practice focuses on private client services and complex family law litigation. Ms. Moore advocates for clients dealing with jurisdiction issues, high asset dissolutions, and corporate collections. Her background includes several years of practice with Wong Fleming. Ms. Moore oversees the family law department of the Redmond, Washington Wong Fleming office. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Seattle University and her Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law.

is an associate at the firm Skellenger Bender. She started her career in family law before transitioning to criminal defense, where she spent several years representing clients facing grim and serious charges. This experience honed her ability to get results in court and at the negotiation table. When Ms. Mount Penner later returned “home” to family law practice, she used those same talents and passion to vigorously represent her clients and their families.It is clear how much she loves helping people reclaim their life and their future. At Skellenger Bender, she represents clients in divorce, child custody, parentage, relocation, domestic violence, and other domestic relations matters.
