His volunteer work includes Eastside Legal Clinic, an arbitrator on King County Mandatory Arbitration Panel, King County Superior Court Settlement Conference Master, an instructor for a King County "How to Finish Your Divorce" class, and a member of the King County Bar Association Courts and Judiciary Committee, and the Judicial Evaluations Committee. Mr. Funk is past secretary and then member of the King County Bar Association's Board of Trustees, past secretary of the King County Bar Association Family Law Section, past vice-chair of King County Bar Association Family Law Section, and past chairman of King County Bar Association Family Law Section.
