David A Guerrettaz is a partner with the law firm Ziemer, Stayman, Weitzel & Shoulders, LLP located in Evansville, Indiana. He focuses his practice on immigration law primarily in three areas: employment and family-based immigration, as well as litigation before the U.S. Immigration Courts (“EOIR”). Mr. Guerrettaz is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) for which he has served on several committees, written articles on various facets of immigration law, and presented on several immigration law panels. He is also an active member of the Indiana Chapter of AILA, for which he has served as its chairman. Mr. Guerrettaz earned his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana. He then earned his J.D. degree from Syracuse University College of Law and his Master of Arts degree in international relations from the Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Administration. Mr. Guerrettaz is a member of the Indiana State and Evansville bar associations. He serves on the Board of Directors for Indiana Legal Services, Inc., for which he served as its president between 2019 and 2021. Mr. Guerrettaz has also served as an adjunct professor of business law at the University of Evansville, where he has taught for over 20 years.
