Joelle C. Rocha
is senior counsel of Adler Pollock & Sheehan P.C. She focuses her practice on real estate development, land use and real estate litigation. Ms. Rocha represents private developers in residential, commercial, mixed use and solar projects before municipal and state boards and agencies. Her representations also include property owners and developers in litigation related to site control, breach of contract and litigation against municipalities, including numerous cases of first impression. Ms. Rocha received her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts and her J.D. degree from Roger Williams University School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island, and U.S. Supreme Court.

Michael L. Mineau
is a partner at Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP, focusing on land use and development, commercial real estate transactions, and property-related litigation. He represents developers, owners, landlords, tenants, investors, and joint venturers in Rhode Island and Massachusetts in their land use and development projects and in all phases of deals, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, due diligence, zoning and permitting, subdivisions, drafting and negotiating easements and restrictions, and resolving title issues. Over the years, Mr. Mineau has represented some of the largest area developers in a variety of transactions and settings. He also has significant experience in real estate-related litigation, including boundary and title disputes, adverse possession and prescriptive easement cases, breach of contract suits, specific performance claims, requests for declaratory and injunctive relief, land use litigation, and zoning appeals. Mr. Mineau has extensive litigation and first-chair trial experience (jury and non-jury) and has represented clients in appeals to the Rhode Island Supreme Court. His trial experience has included trials in the Rhode Island Superior Court and Massachusetts Land Court. Mr. Mineau serves as a member of the Aquidneck Island Planning Commission, Portsmouth Economic Development Committee and Roger Williams University Real Estate Advisory Board. He earned his J.D. degree from RWU Law and a B.A. degree in political science from Miami University (Ohio).

Sarah A. James
is an attorney at Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC. She has represented clients in coverage disputes, complex personal injury cases, construction defect cases, contract disputes, real estate and title disputes, and EEOC matters. Ms. James has experience representing clients in complex civil litigation matters in Washington D.C., Maryland, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island Courts. Prior to joining private practice, she served as a judicial law clerk for the Rhode Island Trial Court and for the Honorable Howard P. Speicher, Associate Justice in the Massachusetts Land Court, where she conducted research and drafted written decisions on administrative appeals and civil bench trials. Ms. James was a volunteer attorney for the ACLU of Rhode Island where she represented clients on matters involving civil rights violations and is also a volunteer for the D.C. Volunteer Lawyers Project. She earned her B.A. degree from Endicott College and her J.D. degree from Suffolk University Law School.
