Philip E. Stern
supports the school law, and employment and labor practice groups for DiFrancesco Bateman Kunzman Davis Lehrer & Flaum, P.C. He represents public and private school districts, colleges, and universities in collective bargaining, special education, employment litigation, and student and staff disciplinary issues. Mr. Stern has negotiated collective bargaining agreements on behalf of educational institutions. He has litigated full jury trials and administrative hearings in all New Jersey judicial and administrative forums; from the New Jersey Supreme Court, to the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission, to the New Jersey Office of Administrative Law. Mr. Stern earned his B.A. degree from Wesleyan University, his M.A. degree in educational administration from Montclair State College and his J.D. degree from New York Law School.

Dana A. Jonson
is a dedicated civil rights attorney based in Connecticut. As a special education attorney, her private practice is devoted to championing the civil and legal rights of children with disabilities; advocating for them in every step of the special education process, from IEP meetings to potential litigation in state or federal court. In addition to her legal work, Ms. Jonson hosts the podcast " Special Ed on Special Ed," where she and other special education experts discuss vital topics that inform and empower special education parents. She conducts workshops for parents and educators alike, equipping them with the knowledge to understand their rights and responsibilities within the special education legal sphere. Ms. Jonson is admitted to the Connecticut Bar Association, Federal Bar and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Arla D. Cahill
is an attorney with Mandelbaum Barrett PC, where she is a member of the firm's litigation, education law, and special needs practice groups. In addition to her recognition in and out of the courtroom handling complex litigation cases, Ms. Cahill has a passion for helping families. She chairs the firm's education law practice and co-chairs the special needs practice. As a seasoned litigator for over 26 years, and a former school board attorney and charter school board member, Ms. Cahill has gained unique insight into the public education system. She understands the challenges facing parents in the areas of special education; harassment, intimidation & bullying (HIB); student discipline; residency disputes; and religious exemption, among other education issues. Ms. Cahill earned her B.S. degree, cum laude, from Montclair State University and her J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She serves as a president of Employment Horizons, Inc. Ms. Cahill is a member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates, Inc. (COPAA) and Autism New Jersey. She is admitted to practice in the states of New Jersey and New York; Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey; U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit; U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York; and the Supreme Court of the United States.

William D. Ashwell
is an attorney with Ashwell & Ashwell, PLLC. He practices in the areas of civil litigation, land use and zoning, appellate advocacy, business and commercial law, and trust and estate planning. Mr. Ashwell is admitted to practice in Virginia and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western districts of Virginia, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar and Fauquier Bar Association, and serves on the Virginia State Bar Seventh District Disciplinary Committee. Mr. Ashwell earned his B.A. degree from Hampden-Sydney College and his J.D. degree from the University of Dayton School of Law.
