Marlon A. Primes
is a partner in the Cleveland office of Brennan, Manna & Diamond, LLC. He is a distinguished former assistant U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, with over 30 years of experience. Mr. Primes has transitioned to serve as co-chair of BMD's business and tort litigation practice, and represents companies across the U.S. in high-stakes litigation. He has handled a wide variety of complex civil litigation in state, federal and appellate courts, including jury trials and appellate actions. Mr. Primes earned his B.S. degree from Ohio University and his J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center.

Keenan M. Jones
is a partner with Frantz Ward LLP in Cleveland, Ohio. He represents businesses of all sizes in litigation matters, corporate formation, business development and protection of intellectual property rights. Since 2017, Mr. Jones has focused his practice on assisting companies operating in the regulated cannabis space, including hemp, marijuana, and ancillary endeavors. Before joining Frantz Ward, he co-founded Foster & Jones and worked at the Hoban Law Group. In both roles, Mr. Jones guided businesses in the emerging cannabis industry. He also serves as counsel and an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors of Model United Nations of the Far West, a not-for-profit organization that hosts an annual, collegiate model United Nations conference, where students can hone their oratory and international diplomacy skills. Mr. Jones earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Heidelberg University and his J.D. degree from University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Ms. Garcia represents operators in the medical and adult-use cannabis markets and in the hemp industry, supporting license acquisition, regulatory dispute resolution, zoning and municipal law, and mergers and acquisitions. As a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy®, she also provides counsel to nonprofit organizations on formation, governance, and compliance, supporting their mission-driven goals with practical legal strategies. With extensive experience in contract management, Ms. Garcia is skilled in drafting and negotiating complex agreements, identifying legal risks, and implementing effective compliance strategies. Known for her collaborative approach and strategic thinking, she is dedicated to aligning her services with her clients' objectives. Ms. Garcia earned her B.A. degree from University of California Davis and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.

He provides comprehensive legal services related to cannabis regulation, compliance, and litigation, adeptly navigating complex legal landscapes. Mr. Pelley is a member of the National Cannabis Bar Association and National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, Legal Committee member.

Bruce T. Andersen
is the president of BTA Corporation, a boutique firm located in Los Angeles, California, providing tax, accounting, and consulting services to small businesses. He is a certified public accountant. Mr. Andersen has taught management science and information systems at California State University in Bakersfield. For the last 14 years, he has been a member of the faculty at the University of Phoenix School of Business. Mr. Andersen is a member of California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He earned his B.S. degree from Iowa State University, his M.S.B.A degree from Boston University, his M.B.A. degree from California State University in Bakersfield and his M.S. degree (taxation) from Golden Gate University. After watching the cannabis industry for several years, the firm set up a division specifically for the cannabis industry in 2018, branded as CannabisCPA.tax, providing tax, audit, accounting and systems support to the cannabis industry.

Benjamin P. Sheppard
is an associate with Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott LLC, where he works on matters involving liquor law, cannabis law, and litigation. He handles a range of liquor law concerns, from distribution and contract production agreements to management and license agreements. In the rapidly evolving realm of cannabis law, Mr. Sheppard stands out for his deep insights into the intricate balance between state-specific and federal regulations governing both hemp and cannabis. His ability to navigate the nuances of the Pennsylvania industrial hemp research law makes him a valued advisor for individuals and businesses navigating this multifaceted law. Clients frequently turn to Mr. Sheppard for guidance in crafting drug testing policies and gaining clarity on the legal intricacies surrounding cannabis and hemp. He has advised both Pennsylvania and New Jersey individuals on their state's respective cannabis and hemp laws. Throughout his career, Mr. Sheppard has been involved in various aspects of the litigation process. Mr. Sheppard has drafted complex memorandums of law in both federal and state court, handled discovery requests, and handled trials from start to finish. Prior to joining Norris McLaughlin, Mr. Sheppard served as a judicial law clerk in the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas. Lance Rogers
is the principal with the Law Offices of Lance Rogers in San Diego, California. As a part of his regulatory compliance practice, he currently represents many of the leading cannabis companies in California, including retailers, manufacturers, and agriculture ventures. Mr. Rogers has litigated a wide array of matters related to cannabis including criminal defense, regulatory violations, land use/zoning, complex business litigation and partnership, and dispute matters. He attained the first dispensary license in southern California through the county of San Diego. Mr. Rogers has written extensively about the cannabis industry, and is a frequent speaker at legal conferences across the United States. He served as general counsel for the California Cannabis Industry Association, a state industry group he helped to form. Mr. Rogers earned his J.D. degree from California Western School of Law and his B.A. degree from the University of California, San Diego.
