Speaker bio
Joan C. McKenna
is a partner with O'Hagan Meyer where her practice includes the representation of employers in a variety of employment lawsuits, including suits under Title VII, ADEA, ADA and state fair employment laws. She also represents employers in administrative proceedings and advises employers regarding compliance with various employment-related state and federal laws, including the FLSA, COBRA, the FMLA and state wage payment laws. Ms. McKenna speaks regularly to employers on various topics in employment law and has served as a contributing editor to the Virginia Employment Law Letter. She also defends companies in tort actions including premises liability, personal injury and defective products cases, and against claims of intentional torts such as defamation and assault and battery. Ms. McKenna has represented national restaurant chains, national bakeries, and machinery manufacturers in successfully defending such claims. In addition, she regularly represents professionals against professional liability claims. Ms. McKenna earned her B.A. degree from Brown University and her J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Labor and Employment Section; Virginia Women Attorneys Association (president, Board of Directors, 2016-2017); Society for Human Resource Management; and the Richmond Bar Association. Ms. McKenna is admitted to practice in Virginia, U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western districts of Virginia and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Rachel L. Loughlin
is a partner with O'Hagan Meyer in the firm's Richmond, Virginia office. Her practice focuses on representing clients in complex commercial and employment disputes in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and alternative dispute resolution forums. Ms. Loughlin also regularly represents clients in a wide variety of employment issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. She also routinely represents clients in a variety of commercial claims, including claims for officers' and directors' liability, breach of contract, fraud, violations of state trade secret laws, tortious interference with contract. In addition to litigation, Ms. Loughlin advises clients on employee investigations, discipline and termination; whistleblower allegations; employee attendance and leave issues under the FMLA, ADA, and other state and federal laws; severance issues; and employment agreements, including non-competition and non-disclosure agreements, with an emphasis on business conscious strategies and outcomes. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced at a boutique litigation firm in Northern Virginia. Ms. Loughlin earned her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Vermont Law School where she also served on the editorial staff of the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Boston University. Ms. Loughlin is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Virginia Women Attorneys Association, and Virginia, Richmond and Massachusetts bar associations. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Virginia.

Enaita Chopra
joined O'Hagan Meyer as an associate attorney in the firm's Richmond, Virginia and Norfolk, Virginia offices. Her practice focuses on labor and employment related matters and litigation. Ms. Chopra processes a strong comprehension of key labor laws and a desire to help clients through the legal process from inception of a matter up to and including litigation. While attending William & Mary, she was a member of the William & Mary Law Review and the Moot Court Team. Ms. Chopra was also involved in extensive legal research as an assistant and used her knowledge and legal experience as a law clerk for the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. She earned her B.A. degree from College of William & Mary and her J.D. degree from William & Mary Law School. Ms. Chopra is admitted to practice in Virginia and U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western districts of Virginia.

Winston West, IV
is an attorney at Harman Claytor in Richmond, Virginia. He provides excellent service in employment, business, and data privacy matters. Mr. West is focused on providing insights to clients on the ever-shifting artificial intelligence regulatory and legal landscape while providing legal assistance to issues affecting clients now. He developed his skills as a litigator in the state and federal trial courts of Virginia - particularly the "Rocket Docket” in the Eastern District of Virginia. On his first day of licensure in Virginia, he defeated a motion to strike the evidence, leading to a jury deciding the case, advocated for a favorable set of jury instructions for his client, and gained a jury verdict equal to the statutory cap for such claims. Mr. West earned his B.S. degree from University of Richmond and his J.D. degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law.

Seth C. Berenzweig
is a founding and managing partner of Berenzweig Leonard, LLP. He has developed a legal practice centered on traditional business law and compliance matters while expanding his professional reach to represent companies in the high-tech space and sports and entertainment clients. Mr. Berenzweig has extensive corporate, business, and litigation experience. He regularly handles transactions, government contracts, technology law, compliance, and white-collar matters, as well as labor and employment cases for businesses, executives, and entrepreneurs in the Washington D.C. region and nationally. Mr. Berenzweig also helps companies protect their software inventions and novel technologies. He appears in the national and international media to discuss business, litigation, technology, compliance, white collar, and constitutional matters and is a frequent guest on national television networks discussing breaking news and legal cases impacting businesses. Mr. Berenzweig’s diverse experience includes leading a team in the multi-state judgment collection against a D.C. business and its directors accused of fraud. His work has involved cutting-edge legal issues, such as the development of blockchain technology and the use of computer forensic evidence seized by United States Marshals. Mr. Berenzweig earned his B.A. degree from George Washington University and his J.D. degree (member, Temple Law Review) from Temple University School of Law.
