Thomas W. Halm, Jr.
is principal with Offit Kurman Attorneys at Law. His practice centers around distressed real estate. Mr. Halm represents clients in commercial litigation and transactional matters including commercial and residential state court foreclosure actions, bankruptcies, receiverships, evictions, collections, workout proceedings, insolvency, and other complex creditors' rights matters. He earned his B.A. degree from Seton Hall University and his J.D. degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. Mr. Halm is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute, New Jersey Chapter. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and the state and federal courts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

James W. Sandy
is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer with McGlinchey Stafford PLLC, who represents individuals, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies in all aspects of civil and commercial litigation. Financial services companies of varying sizes have engaged Mr. Sandy based on his significant experience handling complex class action disputes in state and federal courts, in matters with financial exposure reaching seven figures. His primary focus is on assisting and advising national mortgage servicing companies, auto finance companies, banks, and small businesses in cases involving federal and state regulatory matters, arbitrations, consumer complaints filed with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and state and federal lawsuits. Mr. Sandy regularly defends lawsuits brought under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act and other state UDAAP laws, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), and Truth in Lending Act (TILA) in both state and federal courts. He also assists mortgage and auto finance clients with compliance matters, including protecting consumer data and privacy, as well as navigating the various complicated state regulatory regimes at play in the financial services context. Mr. Sandy is an experienced appellate advocate, having handled more than 80 appellate matters. He has delivered oral arguments before all 12 state appellate courts in Ohio, as well as before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Sandy also advises clients on general corporate and business matters including entity formation, corporate governance, and vendor and service agreements.

Michael R. Hogue
maintains a multi-disciplinary construction practice providing representation to owners, developers, and major corporations in all aspects and phases of construction and project development in the real estate industry. His practice provides an integrated "one-stop-shop" for a broad cross-section of public and private sector clients in due diligence, transactions, tenant buildouts, project oversight and management, regulatory compliance, disputes, litigation, and restructuring/bankruptcy matters.

Stanley C. Kottemann, Jr.
is the principal of the Kottemann Law Firm located in Kenner, Louisiana. Since 1985, he has focused his practice on commercial and consumer debt collection services. Mr. Kottemann is a member of the Association American Collector Association, and the Louisiana, Texas and Jefferson Parish bar associations. He earned his B.S. degree from Louisiana State University, his M.B.A. degree from the University of New Orleans and his J.D. degree from Tulane University School of Law.

Andrew Gerling
is a partner at Kohl & Cook Law Firm, LLC. He oversees the firm's consumer litigation and small business practices. As a trial lawyer, Mr. Gerling represents homeowners and businesses throughout Ohio. He devotes a significant portion of his practice to consumer protection, including foreclosure defense, abusive debt collection, and consumer fraud. Mr. Gerling has experience representing consumers in matters involving the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Truth in Lending Act, and Ohio's Consumer Sales Practices Act. He also represents clients in state and federal appellate courts. Mr. Gerling earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Otterbein University; and his J.D. degree from Capital University.
