Albert J. Pirro, Jr.
is a partner at Abrams Fensterman LLP and a member of the land use and zoning practice group working out of the firm's White Plains office. He is a result driven, commercial, transactional land use and zoning attorney with 45 years in private practice representing businesses and real property organizations. Mr. Pirro has represented clients throughout the Hudson Valley where his considerable land use experience has resulted in large scale projects such as The Westchester in White Plains, NY, the Centre at Purchase in Purchase, NY, The Summit in Mount Pleasant, NY and a myriad of residential and specialty land use approvals. This specialty in land use and zoning is accompanied by representation of clients in real estate, commercial, and business transactions. As many transactions require judicial intervention, Mr. Pirro's expertise includes commercial, land use and corporate litigation, arbitration mediation. He has served as a registered lobbyist in both New York State and Washington, D.C., where, among other clients, he served the greater New York Hospital Association and its 300 affiliated hospitals. Mr. Pirro is admitted to practice in New York State and the U.S. Southern District of New York. He earned his B.A. degree from St. Bonaventure University and his J.D. degree from Albany Law School.

is a partner at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman LLP. He concentrates his practice in trusts and estates, and trust and estate litigation. Mr. Zapson also maintains a real estate zoning and land use practice. He represents executors, trustees, real property owners, national companies, REITs lenders and brokers. Juan D. Reyes III
is a partner at Ice Miller LLP. He is a member of Ice Miller's Real Estate, Environmental & Energy Law (REEL) Group and part of a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary group of private equity lawyers in the firm's New York office, who know how to seal the deal. He works closely with his clients to guide them through all stages of the investment cycle, combining his knowledge and innovative ideas to leverage and execute tailored strategies for success. Mr. Reyes' transactional experience traverses many industries, including real estate development, construction, transportation development, and all types of financing for these projects. He brings to bear decades of experience in public and private development to support clients navigating land use, development, finance, and permitting opportunities and challenges. With a unique background spanning federal leadership positions and through large-scale urban and rural municipal development, historic preservation, and the private sector, Mr. Reyes leverages his extensive knowledge of federal, state, and municipal regulations to advance client goals regarding zoning, planning, landmark and building code matters, and governmental funding and approvals. He also advises clients on a wide array of federal, state, and local government incentives. Steven C. Stern
is a partner at Sokoloff Stern LLP. He is a prominent federal litigator, who represents hundreds of municipalities, school districts, public authorities, and public officials throughout the State of New York. He concentrates largely in the defense of civil rights, employment discrimination, police liability, free speech and religion, land use, municipal, and education matters and advises companies on best practices in the employment and civil rights context. Mr. Stern began his career in private practice, litigating general liability, employment, malpractice, and commercial disputes before joining the New York City Law Department's Special Federal Litigation Division. As assistant corporation counsel, he handled some of the city's most high profile federal civil rights and employment cases. After being promoted to senior counsel, he became a supervisor overseeing a team of attorneys, each handling a substantial caseload of civil rights cases, primarily representing the NYPD and NYC Department of Correction. Mr. Stern was one of the city's recruiters and Continuing Legal Education instructors, teaching courses on techniques for conducting effective depositions and ethical issues pertaining to the representation of municipal officials and employees. He co-authored the First Amendment chapter for the Fifth Edition of the American Bar Association's book entitled, "Sword & Shield: A Practical Approach to Section 1983 Litigation." He teaches civil rights law at Touro University, lectures at Stony Brook University, and presents before prominent organizations including DRI, FDCC, CLM, the New York Conference of Mayors, NYS Association of Chiefs of Police, Nassau and Suffolk County bar associations, and the Federal Bar Council in the areas of federal practice, civil rights, and municipal liability. He earned his B.A degree from Binghamton University and his J.D degree from Brooklyn Law School.

Alan P. Fox
is an attorney with Capehart & Scatchard, P.A. He is chair of Capehart Scatchard's Alternative Energy Group, representing clients in various sectors, including shopping centers, public and private schools, retail, office buildings, warehouses, farming, and residential properties. Mr. Fox has experience handling transactions related to photovoltaic solar powered electricity production systems including PPA, obtaining permits and approvals for utility scale projects in southern New Jersey, and solar systems for owners of industrial and commercial properties. Additionally, he serves as co-chair of the firm's real estate and land use group, and is a shareholder in its commercial litigation, and business and tax groups. Mr. Fox's 35+ years of experience in these areas includes presenting land use applications before planning/zoning boards, litigating zoning matters at the trial and appellate levels, serving as solicitor to the Riverside Township Planning and Zoning Boards for eight years, protecting creditors' rights, and performing as outside general counsel for various private companies with local, regional and national needs. He earned his B.A. degree from Rutgers College and his J.D. degree from California Western School of Law. Mr. Fox is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the districts of New Jersey, and Western and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Joseph P. Eriole
is a partner at Abrams Fensterman LLP. He is an experienced land use, municipal and commercial transactions attorney with 30 years' experience in his fields of concentration. Mr. Eriole has represented the private, public and not-for-profit sectors throughout the Hudson Valley from Manhattan to Albany. He is an honors graduate of Albany Law School and Marist College, as well as an alumni of Oxford University. Mr. Eriole has been an award-winning instructor of Environmental and Business Law at Marist College and SUNY, and has been a regular speaker at national conferences in his field. At Abrams Fensterman his concentrations are in real estate development, transactions, and environmental law as well as its related municipal and litigation components.

Michael Towey

Prior to joining Abrams Fensterman, Mr. Towey worked for a mid-sized law firm in Dutchess County, New York where he practiced in the Trusts & Estates Department. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served for six years with the 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, stationed at Joint-Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. After separating from the Army, Mr. Towey attended the Columbia University School of General Studies where he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics-Philosophy. Hon. Robert Spolzino
is an executive partner at Abrams Fensterman, LLP. He brings to his clients unparalleled judgment cultivated over decades of unique experience, he knows how to position clients for success. An attorney for 35 years, Mr. Spolzino served more than eight years as Justice of the New York State Supreme Court, five of those years as a Justice of the Appellate Division, New York’s intermediate appellate court. In 2016, he was selected by the New York State Commission on Judicial Nomination as one of seven candidates statewide for a seat on New York’s highest court, the Court of Appeals. As a Justice of the Appellate Division, Mr. Spolzino decided more than 4,000 appeals and 10,000 appellate motions and wrote major opinions across a broad spectrum of areas. Prior to that, he presided for two and a half years in the Matrimonial Part of the Supreme Court in Westchester County. Since leaving the bench in 2009, Mr. Spolzino has argued seven times in the New York Court of Appeals and more than 125 times in the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court. For much of that time, he was a partner at an AmLaw 200 firm, where he was a leader in the firm’s National Appellate Practice and National Municipal and Public Entity Law Practice. Mr. Spolzino represents clients in litigation and appeals involving commercial, governmental and personal matters, including business disputes, land use, environmental and other regulatory matters, estate and will contests and appeals in domestic relations matters. He also represents private clients in land use and environmental matters and serves as general counsel to local governments, school districts and not-for-profit corporations, and as special counsel in litigation and appellate matters and land use and economic development matters. Mr. Spolzino earned his B.A. degree, cuma laude, from Georgetown University and his J.D. degree from St. John’s University Law School.
