Elizabeth L. Gordon
is a senior counsel at Irwin Fritchie Urquhart Moore & Daniels, where she concentrates her practice in the areas of construction/surety law and commercial litigation. She has experience representing owners, contractors, subcontractors and design professionals in all aspects of construction; from construction contract negotiation and drafting, claim drafting and counseling during the construction and resolution of claims through the use of appropriate state or federal courts or before arbitration panels. Ms. Gordon earned her B.S. degree from Tulane University Freeman School of Business and her J.D. degree from Loyola Law School. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, American Bar Association, National Association of Women in Construction, Federal Bar Association, Surety Claims Institute, National Bond Claims Association, Surety Association of Louisiana, Louisiana Associated General Contractors, and Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. Ms. Gordon is licensed to practice in Louisiana state courts; U.S. District courts for the Eastern, Western and Middle districts of Louisiana; and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Susan N. Eccles
serves as the Baton Rouge office partner in charge at Adams and Reese LLP, while maintaining a diverse legal practice centered on construction, state and federal procurement/government contracts, commercial litigation, and professional liability. Since assuming her leadership role in 2022, Ms. Eccles has helped double the size of the national law firm's Baton Rouge office, developing incoming talent, mentoring younger attorneys, and instilling a commitment to the community. Within her legal practice, she is a leading member of the Adams and Reese construction team. Ms. Eccles stays abreast of the latest trends in the construction industry, including Louisiana code changes, proactive tips to prevent construction defects, latest requirements on OSHA workplace inspections, and risk allocation strategies for design professionals, among other pressing topics. She is a published author and guest speaker on construction law. Ms. Eccles has a post-baccalaureate degree in construction management from LSU. She earned her B.A. and J.D. degrees from Loyola University New Orleans.

Claire Sauls
is an attorney at Adams and Reese LLP. She primarily practices in construction defect matters, premise liability claims, breach of contract issues, and commercial insurance defense. Ms. Sauls is a member of the Adams and Reese construction ream, one of the largest construction practices in the nation with more than 90 attorneys licensed in more than 30 states, and serving the legal needs of the construction industry across the firm's footprint. She earned her B.S. degree from Louisiana State University and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center.

Steven R. McCommon
is an attorney at Adams and Reese LLP, where he focuses his practice on construction law, insurance coverage, and commercial litigation. Within these practice areas, Mr. McCommon represents clients in contract review and drafting, contract negotiation, lien law, bond law, building code violations, construction defect litigation and environmental compliance. He has been selected by his peers among Florida Super Lawyers' Rising Stars in construction litigation and among the Best Lawyers® Ones to Watch in construction law. Mr. McCommon earned his B.A. degree from the University of Florida and his J.D. degree from Stetson University College of Law.

Joseph R. Haftek
is a partner at Gartner + Bloom PC. He prides himself on assisting a broad base of clients with a variety a business and legal needs. From years of handling development projects and contract drafting and negotiation to experience in complex commercial disputes with a focus on construction law and commercial litigation, Mr. Haftek aims to be the outside general counsel firm clients can rely on to efficiently and effectively address a wide range of concerns. He handles all phases of commercial and construction law and litigation, construction/municipal mechanics' liens, public bid protests, delays, extra work, collections, and contract negotiation and drafting. Mr. Haftek's work has been recognized with selection as a New Jersey Super Lawyers' Rising Star and Super Lawyer in the area of construction litigation. He is a frequent speaker for attorneys and business professionals on topics ranging from contract drafting to government procurement. Mr. Haftek graduated from Villanova University and Villanova University School of Law. He is admitted in New Jersey, New York, and the D.C. Court of Federal Claims.
