Speaker bio
Michelle M. Donarski
has over 28 years of experience representing businesses and employers, large and small, in the areas of employment law, business transactions, contracts, administrative hearings and proceedings, and civil litigation. She is licensed in North Dakota and Minnesota state and federal courts and earned her undergraduate degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead and her J.D. degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law. Ms. Donarski advises businesses and employers on a daily basis. She takes pride in providing clients with legal advice in a timely and effective manner. As a result, many of her clients are long-term clients that have become friends. Ms. Donarski is a frequent lecturer on employment law and represents employers in all aspects of employment law. She brings a depth of employment law experience to her clients. She regularly advises businesses on issues such as FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, workers’ compensation and workforce safety, wage and hour, ADA, Title VII – Civil Rights, whistleblower claims, retaliation claims, non-compete and non-disclosure matters, employment contracts, policy review, hiring and termination, internal investigations, responding to DOL and EEOC complaints, and pandemic regulations, policies and best practices. She frequently provides training to employers on employment laws, best practices, and other current issues.

Brent D. Kettelkamp
is a shareholder in the Minneapolis office of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. Mr. Kettelkamp devotes his practice to representing both large and small businesses on a wide range of labor and employment law matters throughout the Midwest. He regularly defends employers in employment-related litigation, including claims of discrimination arising under Title VII, the FMLA, the ADA, the ADEA, and comparable state laws; as well as claims of retaliation arising under state and federal anti-discrimination and whistleblower statutes. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Kettelkamp regularly provides proactive guidance and advice to employers regarding employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, handbook and policy compliance, employee discipline, hiring, termination, leaves of absence, accommodations, and other day-to-day management issues as they arise. He also advises employers on drug and alcohol testing compliance and related policy drafting. Finally, Mr. Kettelkamp conducts workplace investigations relating to a broad range of employment law issues, including workplace violence and harassment. He is admitted to practice law in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and North Dakota. Mr. Kettelkamp earned his undergraduate degree from Bethel University and his J.D. degree from William Mitchell College of Law.
