Speaker bio
James S. Ettelson
is senior counsel with the law firm of Royer Cooper Cohen Braunfeld LLC, where he practices in the areas of real estate, land use and zoning, and commercial financing. Mr. Ettelson has represented a number of major commercial and residential developers, and has been involved in a diverse range of real estate litigation. He is a frequent lecturer on topics related to zoning and land use law, real estate transactions, and condominium/planned community law, and is an adjunct professor at St. Joseph's University. Mr. Ettelson is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. He earned his B.S. degree from Pennsylvania State University and his J.D. degree from Temple University. Mr. Ettelson is a member of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and American bar associations. He has also served more than four years as a member of his Township's Planning Commission, and was elected to three full terms as a Lower Merion Township Commissioner, and subsequently served as board president.

Jeffrey T. Morris
is an attorney with The Law Offices of Jeffrey T. Morris, where he practices in the areas of zoning, construction, and business and commercial litigation matters. He represents lenders in state, federal and bankruptcy courts, as well as corporate, transactional and construction litigation matters. Mr. Morris is a member of the Pennsylvania, Allegheny (member, Construction Dispute Resolution Group) and American bar associations, as well as the American Arbitration Association (Commercial Arbitration Panel). He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Mr. Morris earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Shane D. Sclichter
is a partner in the law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, where he is a member of the finance, energy and real estate group. He has nearly two decades of experience in banking and commercial finance law. In his practice, Mr. Sclichter primarily represents commercial banks and borrowers in a wide range of multi-lender and single lender secured and unsecured financing transactions, including real estate development and construction financing, asset-based lending facilities, acquisition financings, equipment financings, mezzanine financings, and intercreditor and subordination agreements. He also has experience with real estate sales and acquisitions (commercial and residential), including purchase and sales agreements, title insurance matters, inspection issues, transfer tax issues, survey requirements, and leasing issues. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sclichter was senior counsel at First Niagara Bank. He earned his B.A. degree from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, and his J.D. degree from the Duquesne University School of Law. He is a member of The West Virginia Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association and New Jersey State Bar Association.
