is an attorney with Margolis Edelstein, where she concentrates her practice on representing both public and private employers in all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, retaliation, hostile work environment, and wage and hour disputes. Ms. Mendez earned her B.A. degree from American University and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Widener University Delaware Law School. While at Widener University, she served as both a staff editor and articles editor on the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law. Ms. Mendez was also the president of the Black Law Students’ Association and vice president of the Latinx-American Law Students’ Association. A champion for equity, she received her law school’s inaugural Dean’s Award for the Advancement of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Ms. Mendez remains active in her law school community by serving on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, and also as an alumni mentor for the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law and the Black Law Students’ Association. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, The Barristers' Association of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Bar Association and the Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania.

is an attorney with Kozloff Stoudt Attorneys, where he practices in a wide range of areas including higher education law, labor and employment law, and litigation. Mr. Gehring graduated with academic honors, cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. While at Georgetown, he worked in the United States Congress in the House of Representatives on the Committee on Education and the Workforce, which oversees the nation’s education and employment laws. Mr. Gehring also worked in the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice. During 2018-2019, he served as a staff member on Georgetown’s American Criminal Law Review. In addition, Mr. Gehring earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, in philosophy and history from Cedarville University, his M.A. degree in philosophy from Texas A&M University and his Ph.D. degree in philosophy from Indiana University, Bloomington. Mr. Gehring is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.

In the unlikely event that NBI cancels or reschedules an upcoming program, each registered attendee will be contacted via email by a representative of NBI. Outreach to attendees begins as soon as NBI is made aware that a program will not move forward at its originally scheduled date and time.
