Speaker bio
Nancy Kislin
, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, is a child, adolescent and family psychotherapist, professor, author and speaker who is a leading expert on raising resilient and healthy children. She has more than 30 years of experience across therapy and education, including as a psychotherapist and parenting coach. Ms. Kislin creates and facilitates workshops related to parenting, teacher’s leadership and development, and spirituality and meditation for children and teens nationwide. Ms. Kislin specializes in helping children, adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression and trauma. She is the author of Lockdown: Talking to Your Kids About School Violence, a seminal book that examines the psychological and emotional impact of “lockdown culture” on children. Currently, Ms. Kislin maintains a private practice at the. She has held the role of director of Bereavement and Hospice Services at Jewish Family Services and was an inclusion coordinator at URJ Eisner Camp in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. In her public speaking role, Ms. Kislin frequently leads groups in conversation on a range of topics including parenting issues, relationship issues, stress reduction, mindful parenting, suicide prevention and adolescent challenges.
