Speaker bio
Victoria Ikerd-Schreiter
is the founder of the Law Offices of Victoria Ikerd-Schreiter, Counselor at Law. She mostly focuses her practice in representing individuals with disabilities, and the education and training of parents of their rights. Ms. Ikerd-Schreiter provides lectures, seminars, and trainings fluently in both English and Spanish for parents throughout Arizona and California, both through support groups and through her law firm, Ikerd-Schrieter Law. Through The Real League of Justice, she also continues to advocate on a policy level, as well as to maintain the funding and services that serve the bigger picture of adults and children with special needs. Ms. Ikerd-Schreiter has also spoken, and continues to speak at many conferences and events as a keynote and break out session speaker in both English and Spanish on the topics of disability, services, legal strategies, policy and advocacy. She earned her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from San Diego State University and her J.D. degree from California Western School of Law.

Jacob S. Feldman
is a founding partner with Frazer & Feldman, LLP. He has handled the defense of public school districts in major federal and state litigation involving civil rights, age, race, disability, and sexual discrimination matters; sexual harassment complaints; and special education matters. Mr. Feldman has handled the successful defense of dozens of impartial hearings and appeals to the SRO and federal courts on behalf of school districts. He is a frequent speaker in various special education law programs. Mr. Feldman is admitted to practice law in the state courts of New York, United States Supreme Court, Second Circuit and Federal Circuit courts of Appeals, and the Southern and Eastern District courts of New York. Since 1987, he has served public school districts as general counsel. Mr. Feldman earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Brooklyn College; and his J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School.

Beth L. Harris
is a partner with Shaw Perelson May & Lambert, LLP, where she regularly advises our clients in all areas of general counsel services, special education law and anti-discrimination law. Ms. Harris also represents school district clients at education law section 3020 - disciplinary proceedings, section 75 civil service law hearings, PINS proceedings, State Division of Human Rights/EEOC proceedings, OCR investigations, labor arbitrations, Section 3214 student discipline hearings, and appeals before the Commissioner of Education. She is former president of the New York State Association of School Attorneys (2019-2020), and has 23 years of experience in all aspects of public school district legal representation. Ms. Harris is an adjunct professor for Bank Street Graduate School of Education and for Long Island University Teaching School Law and Special Education Law at their Westchester, Orange and Rockland County campuses. In addition, she lectures for the New York State School Boards Association, New York State Association of School Attorneys and the Mid-Hudson School Study Council. Ms. Harris earned her B.S. degree from Cornell University and her J.D. degree from Fordham University School of Law. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Dutchess County Women’s Bar Association and the National School Boards Association Council of School Attorneys. Ms. Harris is admitted to practice in the courts of the state of New York, in federal court in the Southern District of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

Dana A. Jonson
is a civil rights attorney in Connecticut. Her firm focuses exclusively on the civil and legal rights of children with disabilities through the special education process. With a background as a special education teacher and administrator, Ms. Jonson brings a unique perspective to her practice. She is admitted to the Connecticut and Federal bar, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States. Ms. Jonson's personal experience as a mother to five children with special education needs and as a foster parent adds an empathetic and profound understanding to her professional endeavors. She also hosts the informative podcast, Special Ed on Special Ed, which hosts special education experts to discuss special education topics for parents of children with special education needs. You can find her podcast at SpecialEd.fm or anywhere you listen to podcasts. Ms. Jonson earned her J.D. degree from Northeastern School of Law, her MSEd degree from Simmons College and her B.S. degree from Fairfield University.

Alicia Warren
an attorney at Kotin, Crabtree & Strong, LLP with the Education and Disability Law group. Her practice currently focuses on representing families who have children with special needs, advising parents and guardians on a wide range of special education law issues. Ms. Warren represents clients in all phases of litigation, including matters pending before the Massachusetts Bureau of Special Education Appeals, as well as in state and federal court. Ms. Warren also represents students with disabilities in matters involving higher education. Ms. Warren earned her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Boston College and her J.D. degree from Northeastern University School of Law.
