Speaker bio
Ella A. Shenhav
is a partner in the Tampa office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the business litigation practice group. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) accredited by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Civil Mediator. Ms. Shenhav advises clients on state, federal, and international data security and privacy issues, including compliance, risk management, and incident response, including responding to government agencies and private sector inquiries and complaints. In addition, she conducts risk assessments and prepares key documentation, such as incident response plans, privacy policies and notices, and contracts addressing privacy and cybersecurity and beyond. Ms. Shenhav's legal abilities regularly earn her recognition from her peers, the judiciary and the community. She has been recognized by Florida Trend's Legal Elite, by the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee for "Outstanding Pro Bono Service by a Lawyer" and has been featured as a Florida Super Lawyers Rising Star for five consecutive years. Ms. Shenhav is actively committed to charitable and pro bono initiatives in the Tampa Bay community. She serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations, including Bay Area Legal Services, Are You Safe and Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Litigation American Inn of Court. Ms. Shenhav also served as the executive director of Project H.E.L.P., a pro bono project which provides legal assistance to the homeless and indigent population. She earned her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of South Florida and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School. Ms. Shenhav is admitted to practice in Florida, Massachusetts, U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, U.S. District Court for the Southern and Northern districts of Florida, U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Kurtis M. Hutson
is a senior associate in the Tampa office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the corporate practice group, with a focus on health care. Mr. Hutson earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, (Graduate of Washington Program in National Issues Cohort - Graduate of Ruck Leadership Institute) from Kent State University and his J.D. degree (Graduate of UF Law's Doing Business in Latin America Cohort , Top Presentation Award for Law and Entrepreneurship Class, Executive Board Member Association for Law and Business, UF Warrington College of Business Big Idea Competition Finalist) from University of Florida Levin College of Law. He is admitted to practice in Florida.

Clark Giles
is the managing attorney with Giles Law Group. He is a certified information systems auditor (CISA), certified information privacy professional (CIPP/US), certified information privacy technologist (CIPT/US), certified in the governance of enterprise IT (CGEIT- ISACA), and certified data privacy solutions engineer (CDPSE- ISACA). Mr. Giles is also a fellow in privacy with the International Association of Privacy Professionals. He served on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) from 2015-2016, and formerly served as president of the Irvington Development Organization. Mr. Giles earned his Juris Doctorate (cum laude) at IU McKinney School of Law and his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in intellectual property. He has over two decades of experience administering enterprise IT systems in higher education for two universities (Big Ten and the Big East), and spent just under four years as the chief technology officer for the City of Indianapolis/Marion County before being named the first chief information security officer in the city’s history. Mr. Giles has held a real estate broker’s license for over 23 years with his family’s real estate brokerage. A founder and co-founder of several successful start-ups (with two successful acquisitions under his belt), he can draw from the deep width and breadth of his professional experience to provide pragmatic legal counsel and business advisory services to your business.
