Tina M. Maiolo
partners with clients to operate, grow and excel in their businesses. She partners with her clients to assist them on a day-to-day basis with routine employment decisions, but also leads her team in litigation of employment and labor matters, business immigration, civil rights issues, contracts, and all types of business law and commercial litigation. Ms. Maiolo serves many clients as general counsel on employment matters. Her practice extends throughout all types of industries, both for and not-for profit, and companies of all sizes. Ms. Maiolo represents clients in all business, commercial and employment-related matters. She routinely practices in local and federal courts (both trial and appellate), the EEOC and local FEP agencies, the NLRB, arbitration forums, and all types of administrative hearings. Ms. Maiolo defends employers in all aspects of wrongful termination, hostile work environment and/ or adverse action claims, whether based on protected status or contract. As part of her business law and commercial litigation practice, she drafts and negotiates all types of contracts, including employment agreements, compensation packages, separation or termination agreements, noncompete agreements, and non-solicitation agreements. When needed, Ms. Maiolo defends clients in litigation arising out of such agreements. Given the nature of these claims, she is always ready to jump into a case to seek a temporary restraining order or preliminary injunction to prevent continued breach and damages pending a matter's resolution. Ms. Maiolo is also the firm's diversity and inclusion committee co-chair. She earned her B.A. degree from College of William and Mary and her J.D. degree from College of William and Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law.

Aly Piscatelli
is owner of Budding Operations, and has been working in the regulated cannabis industry for 13 years. The focus of her cannabis career has been regulatory inventory compliance and its application in the workplace. At her first industry job at a medical marijuana dispensary in downtown Denver, Ms. Piscatelli was the first employee to navigate the newly released regulations and implement them at both the dispensary and commonly owned cultivation facility. This experience is what launched her into compliance across the supply chain, including cultivation, manufacturing and sales. Ms. Piscatelli is a member of both the METRC and regulatory framework working groups in Colorado, working directly with other leaders in the industry. She has spoken at multiple national conferences about the implementation of inventory control compliance into the workflow of licensed facilities. Ms. Piscatelli holds partnership agreements with accounting firms and consultants to work in tandem with clients to maintain accurate data. She earned her bachelor's degree from University of Colorado-Boulder and her CPIM (certified in planning and inventory management) through APICS.

David C. Holland
is a partner and a member of Prince Lobel Tye LLP's Business Litigation and Cannabis practice groups. He is a highly sought-after civil and criminal litigation attorney who has an extensive background in representing a broad range of stakeholders in the cannabis industry. Mr. Holland is the executive and legal director of Empire State NORML, the New York State affiliate of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML). Mr. Holland is also a co-founder and president of the New York City Cannabis Industry Association (NYCCIA) and vice president of the Hudson Valley Cannabis Industry Association (HVCIA). He is also a pro bono legal advisor to Last Prisoner Project (LPP) seeking clemency and habeas corpus relief for prisoners of the Drug War. Previously, Mr. Holland spent a dozen years serving of counsel to the late Michael Kennedy, Esq., an outspoken criminal defense and civil rights and cannabis advocate. Together, they successfully pursued President Obama with a group clemency petition on behalf of five elderly first time offenders serving at least one sentence of life without the possibility of parole for non-violent marijuana related offenses. During that time, Mr. Holland also provided counsel to High Times Magazine handling all legal matters. He is a frequent information source for news media outlets and regular lecturer at many multi-disciplinary legal and media events regarding cannabis related issues. Mr. Holland has challenged the constitutionality of federal cannabis laws in several legal actions, submitted amicus curiae briefs to the United States Supreme Court in the case of Washington v. Barr and Musta v. Mendota Heights Dental Ctr., arguing that the Schedule I status of cannabis under federal law is unconstitutional. He has also brought a declaratory judgment action against the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Services on behalf of probationers who are being denied access to medical marijuana under the state's Compassionate Care Act as well as representing a firefighter who was terminated from the Buffalo Fire Department for his lawful use of medical cannabis. Mr. Holland has been a leading voice in New York's legalized cannabis laws and emerging industry rules and regulations. He was named a Top 100 Attorney of the Year in 2021, and a 2022 Metro New York Super Lawyer. Mr. Holland was admitted to the federal and state courts in New Jersey (1994), New York (1996), and Maryland (2004), as well as the U.S. Supreme Court and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

Jana D. Weltzin
is an attorney and owner of JDW Counsel, which represents 200+ cannabis companies in Alaska and Arizona. She focuses her legal practice on land use and zoning law, marijuana law in Arizona and recreational marijuana business law, liquor law, and regulation compliance in Alaska. Ms. Weltzin provides representation for her cannabis clientele relating to business structure, permitting/licensing, land use applications and hearings, conditional use permits, investment connections and presentation, regulation compliance, real estate commercial leasing and purchases, operations, and general activism for the cannabis industry. She played an invaluable role during the 2015 Legislative Session through her work with the Coalition for Responsible Cannabis Legislation, initiative sponsors, and future Alaskan cannabis businesses advocating for and analyzing proposed cannabis-related legislation to ensure sustainable success for the industry. Ms. Weltzin earned her B.A. degree from University of Reno, Nevada; and her J.D. degree from Sandra Day O'Conner College of Law, Arizona State University.

Benjamin P. Sheppard
is an associate with the Allentown office of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., where he works on matters involving liquor law, cannabis law, and litigation. He handles a range of liquor law concerns, from distribution and contract production agreements to management and license agreements. In the rapidly evolving realm of cannabis law, Mr. Sheppard stands out for his deep insights into the intricate balance between state-specific and federal regulations governing both hemp and cannabis. His ability to navigate the nuances of the Pennsylvania industrial hemp research law makes him a valued advisor for individuals and businesses navigating this multifaceted law. Clients frequently turn to Mr. Sheppard for guidance in crafting drug testing policies and gaining clarity on the legal intricacies surrounding cannabis and hemp. He has advised both Pennsylvania and New Jersey individuals on their state's respective cannabis and hemp laws. Throughout his career, Mr. Sheppard has been involved in various aspects of the litigation process. Mr. Sheppard has drafted complex memorandums of law in both federal and state court, handled discovery requests, and handled trials from start to finish. Prior to joining Norris McLaughlin, Mr. Sheppard served as a judicial law clerk in the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas. Christina Sava
is a regulatory compliance attorney focused on highly regulated industries such as cannabis, hemp, tobacco, and food and beverage. She helps clients navigate local, state, and federal regulations affecting their packaged goods. Ms. Sava understands the challenges and opportunities of launching new products and marketing campaigns in a shifting regulatory landscape. Her work covers packaging and labeling compliance, state licensing and local permitting endeavors, excise tax reporting obligations, product launch campaigns, and navigating FDA regulations. She started her practice in Oakland, California in 2016, where she had the unique experience of helping cannabis growers, manufacturers, and dispensaries navigate licensing and operational compliance under the then-new cannabis regulatory regime of California. During Ms. Sava's time on the west coast, California's already well-established cannabis industry made a seismic shift from an unregulated medical market to the regulated, licensed, and taxed medical and adult-use market in existence today. She worked with clients to obtain local cannabis permits in dozens of California cities and counties, participated in the rollout of the nation's first cannabis social equity program, and helped draft sensible ordinances for local governments. Ms. Sava also has extensive experience in the tobacco and nicotine industries, helping cigarette, vape, and alternative nicotine products manufacturers navigate the complex web of state and federal regulations. At Holon, she works on cannabis and hemp regulatory issues and is helping to build the firm's food and beverage practice.
