Speaker bio
Peter L. Ostermiller
is a sole practitioner concentrating in legal ethics and professional responsibility matters. He represents attorneys in disciplinary and reinstatement proceedings, judges in judicial ethics matters, and bar exam applicants. Mr. Ostermiller has also represented parties in attorney's fee dispute proceedings, and attorneys in legal proceedings in which sanctions have been sought against the attorney. He has represented parties in attorney disqualification proceedings and counseled lawyers and law firms in their respective rights, responsibilities and duties to other attorneys and their clients. Mr. Ostermiller is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association and the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers. He served on the Kentucky Bar Association's Ethics 2000 Committee, which proposed changes to the Rules of Professional Conduct to the KBA, and resulted in the July 2009 revisions to the ethics rules. Mr. Ostermiller earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Louisville.

Jason M. Bruno
is an attorney with the law firm of Sherrets Bruno & Vogt, LLC. He is an experienced multi-jurisdictional trial and appellate attorney with offices in Scottsdale and Omaha, focusing on business litigation, real estate litigation, construction litigation, legal malpractice and eminent domain. Mr. Bruno regularly fights for the rights of individuals, small business owners, and condemnees against insurance companies, banks, and the government. He has successfully represented two clients against the United States of America. Mr. Bruno has assisted clients in obtaining fair value for private property taken through eminent domain, including from the City of Dallas, Texas; the City of Omaha, Nebraska; Douglas County, Nebraska; Sarpy County, Nebraska; the University of Nebraska Board of Regents; the City of Blair, Nebraska; the Metropolitan Utilities District; and the State of Nebraska. He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, at Saint Leo University, Saint Leo, Florida and his J.D. degree, cum laude, at Creighton University School of Law, Omaha, Nebraska.
