is presently the president/CEO of Masterchek Inc., a full-service investigative firm focused on surveillance in connection with insurance fraud. He presently manages the day-to-day operations of a team of 125 investigators and private contractors nationwide with a corporate office located in Nashville, Tennessee; a branch office in Memphis, Tennessee; and several regional satellite offices located in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Maryland and San Diego. Mr. Demps coordinates the investigations on workers' compensation, liability, criminal, and undercover assignments for various Fortune 500 companies, publicly traded and privately held companies, as well as top law firms throughout the United States. Managing relationships daily with companies such as CN Railroad, Federal Express, UPS, state of Tennessee, Shelby County, MLGW, Saint Francis Hospital, city of Knoxville, and various TPAs and law firms nationwide. Assisting these and several other companies with the gathering of information in relation to accidents, incidents, and sometimes deaths in connection with individuals they employ. During his early college years, he was called up to active duty to serve in Operation Desert Storm. During this wartime environment, he served alongside his fellow soldiers as an M.P. (military police) and unit supply specialist assisting with the day-to-day operations of operating a P.O.W (prisoner of war} camp in Saudi Arabia. Prior to taking over leadership at Masterchek, Mr. Demps worked directly for a senior partner at Bass, Berry, and Sims PLC as his lead litigation paralegal. He supervised a team of three paralegals, assigning office and case duties daily. Mr. Demps participated directly in trials and depositions, as well as played a key role in the preparation process. He managed and assigned to various large document-intensive cases (i.e., NHC Nursing Home Fire, Brentwood v. TSSAA, HCA v. DRL, etc.) and assisted in the case review and investigation process. Mr. Demps filed various legal documents with metro courts, federal courts, Sixth Circuit Court, Tennessee Court of Appeals and U.S. Supreme Court; and conducted telephonic and face-to-face witness interviews to obtain information in various cases, while collaborating with the firm's internal investigative team. He graduated from Volunteer Community College with a degree in computer information technology, with a concentration in cyber defense. Mr. Demps earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in homeland security from Fisk University. Currently, he is working on his graduate certificate in cyber cecurity and information assurance from the University of Memphis. In addition, Mr. Demps holds over twelve state investigative licenses and is one of only five certified trainers in the state of Tennessee. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., where he serves as the parliamentarian of his local chapter. Mr. Demps is the president of the Memphis Fisk Alumni Association and host two nationwide podcast on investigations and cybersecurity.
