Speakers
Speaker bio
Jack H. Sousa
is co-chair of the emerging companies and venture capital practice group, co-chair of the cannabis practice group, and a partner in Wiggin and Dana's corporate department. He is also co-founder and partner of Wiggin and Dana LLP. Mr. Sousa focuses his practice on venture capital, startup, and early-stage companies and their financing needs. In addition, he has a broad-based corporate and commercial practice, including handling mergers and acquisitions, and other complex commercial transactions. Mr. Sousa has over fifteen years of extensive experience advising clients on corporate, transactional, commercial, and regulatory needs. His client base covers a wide range of companies, including venture capital, technology, market research, software, digital media, cannabis, manufacturing, retail, apparel, non-profits, and joint ventures. Prior to joining Wiggin and Dana LLP, Ms. Sousa worked as managing principal of a corporate boutique law firm based in Connecticut. He is co-chair of the Business Law Committee of the Fairfield County Bar Association, and president of the Fordham Law Alumni Connecticut Chapter. Mr. Sousa is a founding co-chair of Wiggin and Dana's DRIVE Caregiving People Group. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Boston College; and his J.D. degree from Fordham University School of Law.
