Speaker bio
Christopher C. Young
is a senior attorney with Gravis Law PLLC. He practiced in the Philadelphia area for thirteen years, representing Fortune 100 clients in the insurance and financial services industries. Mr. Young returned to Montana in 2014, having had enough of big cities and their corresponding stressors. He identified the medical marijuana industry as an area with a substantial unmet need for legal services and began a regulatory compliance practice, among other areas of the law. Mr. Young established the Young Law Office in 2016, where his cannabis regulatory practice grew every year. He joined Gravis Law PLLC in November 2021, in part to expand the services he could provide to his cannabis clients. Mr. Young now represents several dozen Montana marijuana businesses and provides them legal services, including business agreements and cannabis-related mergers and acquisitions. He is admitted to practice in Montana and Pennsylvania; and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Middle districts of Pennsylvania; U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey; U.S. District Court for the District of Montana; and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Young earned his B.A. degree from Carleton College and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law.

Gabrielle M. Wirth
is a partner with Dorsey & Whitney LLP. Her successful trial experience in a broad range of employment disputes including wage and hour, whistleblower, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, and trade secret/noncompetition cases. Ms. Wirth's work with the corporate team on acquisitions and startups, equip her to nimbly assess and provide legally compliant options, whether in the counseling or litigation defense role. She also represents employers before a wide variety of state and federal agencies, including the EEOC, OFCCP, state human rights agencies, labor commission, employment development department, and OSHA. Ms. Wirth earned her A.B. degree from the University of California, Berkeley; and her J.D. degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law. She is a member of the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys; John Muir Heritage Society; Yosemite Conservancy, member and Breakfast Committee; Orange County United Way Women's Philanthropy Fund; Orange County United Way; and the Alexis de Tocqueville Society. Ms. Wirth is admitted to practice in California and Montana; and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Central, Southern and Eastern districts of California.

Eric Weisenburger
is a partner in Dorsey & Whitney LLP's Minneapolis office. He represents clients in complex and high-stakes commercial litigation and government contracting matters. Mr. Weisenburger has advised clients in the full range of government contracting issues, from helping them navigate the federal acquisition regulations during the process of acquiring government contracting firms, to conducting bid protests nationwide. He also helps government contractors ensure compliance with the complex network of federal and state rules to maintain eligibility, while competing for and performing public contracts. Mr. Weisenburger earned his bachelor's degree, cum laude, from Drake University; and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from University of Minnesota Law School. He also maintains a pro bono practice including representing veterans and their families that were denied benefits by the Department of Veterans Affairs at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Mr. Weisenburger is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Susan Wordal
is a government law attorney and owner of Wordal Law, PLLC. She practices local government issues, church administration, criminal law, and contract law. Ms. Wordal was a city prosecutor/assistant city attorney for the city of Bozeman, Montana for over 21 years. Before going into private practice, she earned her B.A. degree from The University of Montana and her J.D. degree from The University of Montana School of Law. Ms. Wordal has been licensed to practice law in Montana for over 30 years. She is also a member of the State Bar Ethics Committee.

Frederic W. Knaak
is a partner in the law firm HKB Law, P.A. Recently, he has moved that practice into North Star Law Group in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he heads the municipal law group. Mr. Knaak has represented cities and other local units of government for more than 45 years. His practice includes real estate, zoning and land use, municipal law, public and election law, including substantial trial and appellate litigation experience state and federal courts. For ten years, Mr. Knaak served in the Minnesota Senate, representing a suburban district northeast of St. Paul. He was the Minority Floor Leader, and served during his entire tenure on the Data Practices Subcommittee, where he was directly involved in the drafting and amending of the Minnesota Data Practices Act and the Open Meeting Law of that state. People in Minnesota may recognize Mr. Knaak as a regular political panelist on the Public Television Almanac program. He was also lead attorney in the United States Senate election recount in Minnesota in 2008. In addition, Mr. Knaak was recently appointed to the Criminal and Juvenile Information Policy Advisory Group.

Jeff Storms
is an owner of Storms Dworak LLC, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has obtained $1 Million Dollar+ recoveries for plaintiffs on matters involving sexual assault, civil rights violations, and medical malpractice. Mr. Storms' high-profile cases have garnered local, national, and international media attention. He has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, Nightline, and in numerous other national television and print mediums. Jeff was part of the team that recovered the historic $27 Million Dollar settlement on behalf of the next of kin of George Floyd. In 2021, Mr. Storms received the AAJ 2021 Leonard Weinglass in Defense of Civil Liberties Award, along with his colleagues on the George Floyd Legal Team and the Floyd Family. He has been named one of Minnesota's "Attorneys of the Year" by Minnesota Lawyer four times, putting him in rare and elite company. In 2022 and 2023, Mr. Storms was named one of the Top 100 Super Lawyers in Minnesota. He has been named a "Super Lawyer" every year since 2015, and regularly serves on Super Lawyer's Blue Ribbon Panel, peer-reviewing other attorneys for the Super Lawyer distinction. In 2023, Mr. Storms was named by Lawdragon as one of the 500 Leading Civil Rights & Plaintiff Employment Lawyers in the United States. He attended the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and as one of the top ten students in his class. In Spring 2016, Mr. Storms served as an adjunct professor at St. Thomas, teaching Section 1983 Civil Rights Litigation.
