Christopher Weaver
is an attorney with the Birmingham law firm of Norman, Wood, Kendrick & Turner, where his practice spans the gamut of general and complex civil litigation. He has experienced litigation from all angles and understands how to advocate accordingly. A former prosecutor, public defender, legal services staff attorney, and guardian ad litem, Mr. Weaver has spent countless hours in the courtroom. He was named to Birmingham Magazine's Top Attorneys for 2017. Mr. Weaver earned his B.A. degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and his J.D. degree from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law. He also received his Alabama peace officer standards and training certification from the Northeast Alabama Law Enforcement Academy.

Ellen T. Mathews
is a partner with Burr & Forman LLP's general commercial litigation and intellectual property groups. She represents institutional clients and individuals in a broad range of litigation matters, including contract disputes between businesses, disputes between franchisors and franchisees, financial services matters involving retail banks, credit card companies, and mortgage originators or servicers, disputes relating to distributorship, manufacturing, license, and warranty agreements, and operating agreement and shareholder disputes. Ms. Mathews also regularly represents clients in intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters. Her patent experience involves a wide variety of technologies, such as devices for remotely communicating with and controlling electronic apparatuses, programmable light timers, work gear and tools, medical devices, and sporting goods and equipment. Ms. Mathew's trademark and copyright practice focuses primarily on the food and beverage, retail clothing, and music industries. Her intellectual property practice also extends to patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution, maintaining intellectual property portfolios, policing intellectual property rights, and assisting in franchise due diligence. Ms. Mathews is licensed to practice law in Alabama, Florida and North Carolina. She has represented clients in federal district courts in Alabama, California, Florida, New York, North Carolina, and Texas. Ms. Mathews also represents clients in USPTO and U.S. Copyright Office matters. She has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for her commercial litigation practice since 2023.

Jeffrey P. Doss
is a partner of Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC, in Birmingham, Alabama. He focuses his practice on trial advocacy in the areas of white-collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation. In addition to conducting internal investigations for private and public entities, Mr. Doss has defended businesses and individuals in connection with grand jury investigations, administrative enforcement proceedings and criminal prosecutions at the trial and appellate levels. For nearly a decade, he has served as appellate counsel for an automobile manufacturer. In that capacity, Mr. Doss has aided trial teams pre-trial, at trial, and post-verdict through appeal. As appellate counsel, he has developed and implemented strategies to address a myriad of legal issues, from errors in jury selection to exclusions of experts to evidentiary objections to post-verdict challenges to punitive damages awards. During his career, Mr. Doss has represented individuals accused of mail and wire fraud, honest services fraud, obstruction of justice, securities fraud, theft of government property, interstate transportation of stolen goods, money laundering, banking offenses, healthcare fraud and violations of the Anti-Kickback Statute. He has obtained judgments of acquittal from juries and from courts, both at the close of the prosecution’s case-in-chief and post-verdict. Mr. Doss also performs large-scale investigations stemming from employee and whistleblower complaints, regulatory inquiries and self-reporting requirements. His investigations have addressed diverse issues, including accounting procedures, trade secrets, securities laws, state law fiduciary duties and associated conflicts of interest, sexual harassment, and compliance concerns under the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement.

Carter R. Hale
is managing attorney of Vernis & Bowling's Mobile, Alabama office. He has a diverse litigation and trial practice, though a great portion of his time is concentrated on defending complex products liability cases, wrongful death actions, employment law charges and suits, professional liability claims, and commercial design and construction defect cases in state and federal courts throughout Alabama. Mr. Hale earned his B.S. degree from Hampden-Sydney College and his J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Alabama, and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle districts of Alabama, and U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida; and has been admitted pro hac vice numerous times in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and the state of Mississippi. Mr. Hale is a member of the Alabama State Bar (Litigation and Labor and Employment Law sections), Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and Mobile Bar Association.

Warner Hornsby
is principal of Beasley Allen Law Firm's Montgomery, Alabama office. He is a member of the firm's personal injury/product liability section. Mr. Hornsby handles cases involving serious injury and death related to automobile accidents, dangerous machinery, defective products, and negligence. He earned his J.D. degree at the University of Alabama School of Law; and is a member of the Alabama State Bar, Montgomery County Bar Association, and Alabama Association for Justice. Mr. Hornsby has been selected to the Midsouth Super Lawyers Rising Stars list since 2019.

Donald C. Partridge
is a seasoned first-chair litigator and trial lawyer who has tried multiple civil and criminal cases to verdict ranging from medical malpractice, asbestos, and negligence claims to death penalty cases. He serves as director at the Mobile, Alabama office of Maron Marvel Bradley Anderson & Tardy LLC. Mr. Partridge has defended various professionals, including accountants, attorneys, contractors, and engineers. He has extensive experience managing complex litigation defending personal injury, fraud, product liability, and construction defect claims. He has represented various manufacturers, professionals, and individuals throughout his career. He serves as national coordinating counsel for a comprehensive and diverse industrial supplier, developing and implementing its national asbestos litigation strategy. Mr. Partridge also managed the asbestos litigation for a high-profile defendant in several high-risk jurisdictions, including Illinois, Missouri, West Virginia, and California. He is local and regional counsel for multiple asbestos and silica defendants in Mississippi and Alabama, and has been directly involved in several significant and groundbreaking decisions in those jurisdictions. He has an AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been named to the Best Lawyers in America for Pproduct liability and mass torts.
