Speaker bio
R. Joseph Wessendarp
is a solo practitioner in West Chester, who advises and defends private and public sector employers and businesses in labor and employment, workers' compensation, workplace health and safety regulatory compliance, discriminatory and retaliatory discharge, wage/hour issues, and collective bargaining. He practices before state and federal trial and appellate courts, administrative tribunals, and arbitrations. Mr. Wessendarp earned his B.A. degree from the University of Cincinnati and his J.D. degree from the University of Detroit.

Steven P. Goodin
is a partner in the Cincinnati office of Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP. He has had more than 20 years of experience in complex business litigation involving economic development, commercial real estate transactions and employment-related disputes. A former state and federal prosecutor, Mr. Goodin assists clients in inquiries by government agencies and has extensive experience conducting internal investigations. He also is well-versed in criminal defense, probate and securities-related litigation. Mr. Goodin earned his B.A. degree from Miami University and his J.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Cincinnati Bar Association and Federal Bar Association.

Benjamin G. Chojnacki
is a shareholder in the Cleveland office of Roetzel & Andress. He counsels municipalities, public entities, planning commissions and private corporations on all aspects of public law. Mr. Chojnacki currently serves as the law director for the Village of Cuyahoga Heights, law director for the City of Chardon, and village solicitor for the Village of Lakemore. He also maintains a litigation practice focused on labor and employment, land use, eminent domain, tort defense, and constitutional disputes. Mr. Chojnacki earned his B.A. degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and his J.D. degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He is a member of the Northeast Ohio Law Directors Association, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Government Attorneys Section and Cleveland Association of Civil Trial Attorneys.
