Gregory L. Matalon
is a partner with Capell Barnett Matalon & Schoenfeld LLP, where he practices in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, elder law, and not-for-profit and religious corporations law. Mr. Matalon also represents executors and trustees to navigate the complex federal and state laws impacting estates and trusts. He earned his B.A. degree from Skidmore College and his J.D. degree from Hofstra University School of Law.

Robert S. Barnett
is a founding partner in the law firm of Capell Barnett Matalon & Schoenfeld, LLP, where he practices is the areas of taxation, trusts, estates, corporate and partnership law, and charitable planning. His experience includes Surrogate's Court practice, tax dispute resolution in both federal and state jurisdictions, and tax court representation. Mr. Barnett serves on the Nassau County Bar Association's Academy of Law and is co-chair of the Tax Committee. He is the vice president and an executive board member of the Nassau Chapter of the New York State Society of CPAs. Mr. Barnett earned his B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Hofstra University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the Fordham University School of Law.

Stephen R. Silverstein
is Senior Counsel with Tiveron Law PLLC. He has concentrated his practice in the areas of estates and elder law for more than 30 years. Mr. Silverstein is a former bank trust officer, where he handled administration of estates, trusts, and employee benefit plans. He is a member of the New York State, Erie County and Niagara County bar associations. Mr. Silverstein earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from the University of Rochester and his J.D. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law.

James D. Reddy
is a sole practitioner in Lindenhurst, New York (Suffolk County), where his main areas of practice are trusts and estates, real property, and family law, mostly in the litigation area, both at the trial level and appellate level. Mr. Reddy has litigated numerous deed contests, will contests, trust litigations, divorces, child custody disputes, and other related matters over the past two decades. He has presented many seminars for National Business Institute in the areas of estate planning, and recently presented an National Business Institute seminar on complex custody and support issues. Mr. Reddy earned his B.S.B.A. degree from Georgetown University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from St. John's University School of Law.

Jordan Kanzer
is an attorney with the law firm of Capell Barnett Matalon & Schoenfeld LLP. He practices in the areas of estate planning and estate administration. Mr. Kanzer assists individuals in designing and implementing estate plans focused on family goals, with an eye toward wealth preservation. He drafts Last Wills and Testaments employing sophisticated estate tax strategies, Living Wills, Health Care Proxies, Powers of Attorneys, and revocable and irrevocable trusts, including Spousal Lifetime Access Trusts (SLATs), Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts (GRATs), and Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts (ILITs). Mr. Kanzer also guides executors and trustees through the estate/trust administration process, including providing complete probate administration services and preparing Federal and New York State estate tax returns. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Maryland and his J.D. degree from City University of New York School of Law. Mr. Kanzer is a member of the New York County Lawyer's Association and is licensed to practice law in the state of New York.

Erik Olson
is a partner with the law firm of Capell Barnett Matalon & Schoenfeld LLP. He practices in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, taxation, corporate and partnership law. Mr. Olson assists individuals and families by preparing Last Wills and Testaments, trusts, living wills and health care proxies, and durable powers of attorney documents. He also assists clients in developing efficient estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax strategies and techniques. Mr. Olson also assists clients in business formation and structuring and advises clients in financial transactions from a tax and business perspective, including business sales, purchases and reorganizations, and preparing various business agreements, including buy-sell agreements, shareholder, partnership and operating agreements. He has written articles for various publications, including WealthCounsel, New York Law Journal, and Journal of the Nassau County Bar Association. Mr. Olson earned his B.A. degree from Boston College and his J.D. degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. He is currently completing his LL.M. degree in taxation at New York University School of Law.

Damianos Markou
is an attorney with Capell Barnett Matalon & Schoenfeld, LLP where he practices trusts and estates law, concentrating his practice in trust and estates litigation proceedings in the New York State Surrogate's Courts. Mr. Markou has extensive experience and has successfully represented individual and corporate clients in a variety of Surrogate's Court proceedings including Will contests, contested accountings, discovery proceedings, reverse discovery proceedings, construction proceedings, right of election proceedings, guardianships, administration proceedings and other miscellaneous Surrogate's Court proceedings. He has represented individual and corporate clients in the administration of estates and trusts and has successfully represented and defended clients' estate tax filings before the Internal Revenue Service and the New York State Commissioner of Taxation and Finance. Mr. Markou is also involved in estate planning and the drafting of wills and trusts for his clients. While in law school, he enrolled in a summer law program in Moscow State University, in Moscow, Russia where he studied the Russian legal system in transition and the Russian language. After law school, Mr. Markou began his career as an attorney with a firm who had acted as counsel to the Public Administrator of Queens County, New York representing clients in all aspects of complex Surrogate's Court proceedings.
