He has performed thousands of residential and commercial title examinations. Mr. Apter has lectured on title examining for the Connecticut Bar Association, REBA, and NELTA. He is past director of National Association of Land Title Examiners and Abstracters (NALTEA) and a member of the New England Land Title Association (NELTA). Bill started his career as a real estate attorney in Florida, where he managed a large residential and commercial closing practice. Bill moved to Connecticut and, for eleven years, worked at two large Connecticut real estate law firms. At those firms, Bill handled all aspects of foreclosure matters, from drafting complaints, to handling mediation, attending hearings and resolving all title issues that arose during the foreclosure process. At one time Bill managed a team that included ten paralegals. For the past three years, Bill has worked as underwriting counsel for a national title insurance company and is now Title Counsel at CATIC.
