Jennifer Martin
is of counsel at Winstead PC. She is a member of Winstead's real estate development and investments practice group. She has broad experience in planned community and condominium law having represented HOAs, homebuilders, developers, and investors. Ms. Martin has extensive experience drafting, amending, and interpreting governing documents, including CC&Rs, bylaws, and rules, as well as acting as general counsel to HOAs related to compliance, insurance, and enforcement matters. She has assisted developers in documenting public improvement district (PID) and municipal utility district (MUD) agreements. Additionally, Ms. Martin has negotiated resolutions to allegations of fair housing violations faced by "housing providers," including in-depth research into the potential disparate impact of rental restrictions in common interest developments. She participates in speaking engagements to inform and educate real estate industry professionals as to the opportunities and potential pitfalls that HOAs pose. Ms. Martin earned her B.A. degree from University of California at San Diego and her J.D. degree from University of Southern California, Gould School of Law.

Janet E. Jackim
is a Director at Fennemore Craig, P.C., where she focuses on real estate and leasing transactions; equity raises and debt financing; workouts, reorganizations and receiverships; business disputes and litigation; and mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and other business transactions. In addition to her work with Fortune 500 clients and other traditional institutional clients, Ms. Jackim often works with companies in relation to emerging industries and technologies, including the legalized cannabis industry. Ms. Jackim supplements her legal insight with advanced technical, operational and financial acumen. Her problem-solving creativity aids in resolving complex issues for both rapidly-expanding and distressed business clients. Ms. Jackim has been recognized as a national expert on commercial real estate leases, having negotiated or renegotiated over 5,000 such leases during her tenure as vice president of real estate and earlier as associate general counsel for the rapidly expanding - and later contraction of - Fortune 500 company, The Circle K Corporation and its affiliates. She earned her B.A degree from Indiana University and J.D degree, cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago.

William Morton
joined Pless Law Firm, LLC/PLLCC in 2022 as senior counsel with the firm's expansion into the Texas market. Based in the Austin office, he specializes in assisting clients with raw land and developed properties, handling due diligence matters, drafting declarations and other restrictive covenants, construction contracts, and retail and office leasing. Additionally, Mr. Morton focuses on representing clients in the acquisition and redevelopment of existing office and retail sites. He earned his B.A. degree from The University of Texas and his J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University - Dedman School of Law.

Lisa Smith
is an attorney at Zarin & Steinmetz LLP. Her practice spans the full spectrum of real estate transactions. Ms. Smith represents property owners and managers, developers, purchasers and sellers, family-owned businesses, global corporations, national retail chains, and landlords and tenants. Her background in land use law and litigation provides her with a sophisticated understanding of the potential risks her clients might face. This helps inform the negotiation and drafting process. Ms. Smith has drafted and negotiated store, office, retail, triple net, ground, parking lot/garage, and telecommunications leases on behalf of both owners/developers and tenants, covering leased space in office buildings, malls, strip centers and residential and commercial buildings. She frequently represents landlords on commercial evictions, foreclosures, and surrender agreements. Ms. Smith also handles commercial and residential transactions involving the purchase, sale and financing of properties and developments. This includes assisting clients in securing bank funding/loans, such as acquisition financing and construction loans, and IDA project financing. She is also well versed in structuring business agreements (asset-purchase agreements, sale agreements and corporate, shareholder and limited liability agreements), employment contracts, and business and equipment leases. She is a member of the town of Pound Ridge Zoning Board of Appeals. Ms. Smith earned her B.S. degree from Cornell University and her J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School.

Mark D. Kimball
is the founding shareholder of MDK Law, a firm emphasizing corporate, commercial and property law, and consulting in matters involving federal and international taxation. He is admitted to practice in Washington, New York, Texas and Oregon. Mr. Kimball is an adjunct professor of law at Eotvos Lorand and Masaryk Universities in Europe, and has served as a law school guest lecturer at Seattle University School of Law. He is also engaged as an expert witness in superior court cases involving limited liability companies, governance, and other member issues. Mr. Kimball has been admitted to the Second Circuit Bar (New York, Connecticut and Vermont), Fifth Circuit Bar (Texas and Louisiana), and the Oregon State Bar. He earned his J.D. degree and LL.M. (taxation) degree from the University of Washington School of Law, and also holds an LL.M. degree in transnational commercial practice from Europe.

Peter L. Ostermiller
is a sole practitioner concentrating in legal ethics and professional responsibility matters. He represents attorneys in disciplinary and reinstatement proceedings, judges in judicial ethics matters, and bar exam applicants. Mr. Ostermiller has also represented parties in attorney's fee dispute proceedings, and attorneys in legal proceedings in which sanctions have been sought against the attorney. He has represented parties in attorney disqualification proceedings and counseled lawyers and law firms in their respective rights, responsibilities and duties to other attorneys and their clients. Mr. Ostermiller is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association and the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers. He served on the Kentucky Bar Association's Ethics 2000 Committee, which proposed changes to the Rules of Professional Conduct to the KBA, and resulted in the July 2009 revisions to the ethics rules. Mr. Ostermiller earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Louisville.
