Judith M. Cofield
is a sole practitioner in Virginia Beach where her practice is limited to medical malpractice. She has been practicing law for more than 42 years. Ms. Cofield has been counsel in several Virginia Supreme Court decisions, some of which were seminal in the malpractice specialty. She is a frequent speaker and author on topics relating to her area of practice. Ms. Cofield also was an instructor on pre-trial discovery at Marshall-Wythe School of Law. She is a commissioner in chancery for the Circuit Court of Virginia Beach, Virginia Beach (past president, Executive Committee) and Virginia Women's (former member, Board of Directors) bar associations; Virginia State Bar; Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Ms. Cofield is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court. She earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, with the Phi Beta Kappa key awarded, from the College of William & Mary and her J.D. degree from Marshall-Wythe School of Law.

Tara L. Tighe Umbrino
is the attorney at TLT Legal Services, PLLC. She is an experienced personal injury attorney and civil litigator. Ms. Tighe Umbrino has significant litigation experience in both jury and bench trials, and her strong desire to help others led her to become an attorney who fights for the rights of aggrieved and injured individuals. She is admitted to practice in Virginia (state, EDVA and WDVA), Maryland (state and DMD) and the District of Columbia (state and DDC). Ms. Tighe Umbrino is fluent in English and Spanish. She earned her B.A. degree from Tufts University and her J.D. degree from The George Washington University Law School. Ms. Tighe maintains an active practice in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

David Sumner
has been managing medical negligence cases exclusively for over forty (40) years. He currently has a multi-state medical negligence practice on behalf of plaintiffs as a solo based in Tucson, Arizona (David W. Sumner, Esquire, Sumner Medical Law). However, he is a prior career defense medical malpractice trial lawyer, more recently, while in plaintiff's practice, he has also served as personal counsel for physicians being sued for medical malpractices in cases where the damages exposure to the defending physician potentially exceeded the professional liability coverage available for the occurrence. Mr. Sumner published extensively on medical malpractice litigation topics while a contributing editor for Medical Malpractice Law & Strategy (Leader Publications) for over a decade. He currently serves as a content contributor for ED Management (Relias Media), a national journal focusing on risk management issues pertinent to emergency departments. Mr. Sumner is actively licensed in seven (7) states (AZ, SC, GA, PA, OH, MD and AR) and he has also appeared via Pro Hac Vice in medical malpractice cases in multiple jurisdictions where not actively licensed (including NY, TX, IL and NC).

Charles I. Consagra
is of counsel with Needle Law Firm, where he concentrates in the field of administrative law, with primary specialty in the areas of workers' compensation, unemployment compensation and Social Security. Since 1978, Mr. Consagra has been a part-time faculty member at Keystone College as an instructor in the areas of education, behavioral sciences, criminal justice and business law. He is an instructor in business for graduate students through Marywood University. Mr. Consagra earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Scranton and his J.D. degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. He earned his Master of Arts degree in counseling psychology and his Master of Science degree in Ed from Marywood University. Mr. Consagra also holds a M.Div degree and Ph.D. degree (all but dissertations).
