Mr. West is focused on providing insights to clients on the ever-shifting artificial intelligence regulatory and legal landscape while providing legal assistance to issues affecting clients now. He developed his skills as a litigator in the state and federal trial courts of Virginia. Mr. West now brings that same tenacity to clients in North Carolina. On his first day of licensure in Virginia, he defeated a motion to strike the evidence, leading to an early dismissal of the action, advocated for a favorable set of jury instructions for his client, and gained a jury verdict equal to the statutory cap for such claims. Mr. West earned his B.S. degree from University of Richmond and his J.D. degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law.

is a partner at Flannery | Georgalis, LLC. He is a former federal and state prosecutor with extensive criminal law and trial experience. Mr. Guinn served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of North Carolina, as an Assistant District Attorney in Wilson County, and has held two Judicial Law Clerk positions at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Having conducted dozens of trials, many of them in federal court, he has extensive subject matter knowledge across a wide array of complex criminal matters and litigation, including large-scale narcotics trafficking conspiracies, environmental protection agency investigations, and violent crime investigations. Mr. Guinn earned his B.S. degree from East Carolina University and his J.D. degree from The University of South Carolina School of Law.

started King Law in 2002, in a two-room office above a bar. He had the vision to create a firm that was built around business principles and taking care of clients. It is under his leadership the firm has grown from a small community firm to one of the largest and fastest-growing firms in the Carolinas. Mr. King has served as the attorney for the Rutherford County Department of Social Services and the McDowell County Department of Social Services, and has been a member of the North Carolina Child Support Council. He co-authored the book "Navigating Adoption and Surrogacy Laws", published by Astapore, a Thomas Reuters business, in 2014. Mr. King is a member of the North Carolina and South Carolina bars, and in 2009 became a Family Law Specialist. He has been elected as president of the Judicial District Bar and has served in various legal leadership positions. Mr. King has been involved in several Court of Appeals cases, with important and often referenced opinions. Community involvement within surrounding counties is also important to him as he actively serves and supports several local organizations including Adjunct Faculty at Isothermal Community College, Board of Directors/past-president Rutherford Life Services, The Robert & Janice McNair Educational Foundation Mentor, McDowell County Chamber of Commerce Guest Speaker, secretary of Rutherford County Bar Association, board member at Kidsenses and The American Society of Legal Advocates Top 100 Family Law Attorneys for 2016. Mr. King earned a bachelor's degree in political science from UNC Charlotte and went on to obtain his J.D. degree from Campbell Law.

In the unlikely event that NBI cancels or reschedules an upcoming program, each registered attendee will be contacted via email by a representative of NBI. Outreach to attendees begins as soon as NBI is made aware that a program will not move forward at its originally scheduled date and time.
