Helen V. Cooper
is a member of Dentons' US Tax practice. She assists clients at all stages of the tax return lifecycle, from identifying business goals, such as maximizing tax efficiencies and minimization of risk, to transaction planning, defending tax positions and negotiating post-assessment collection compromises. Ms. Cooper advises on a variety of issues, such as complex financings, restructurings and reorganizations, charitable organizations, loss planning and tax disputes. She also advises clients on developments in the Internal Revenue Code, regulations, and case law to help identify new planning strategies or modify current ones. Before joining Dentons, Ms. Cooper worked at EY, where she was part of teams serving mid-size to Fortune 500 Companies. In the tax controversy space, she worked on Large Business & International (LB&I) and Small Business /Self-Employed (SB/SE) Internal Revenue Service audit engagements for corporations and pass-through entities throughout the Midwest and South. Ms. Cooper has helped with IDR responses, document productions, protests and Appeals presentations. In the planning space, she worked on teams that engaged in accounting methods planning and adoption, where she regularly interfaced with EY National Tax to help prepare accounting method changes. Ms. Cooper has also worked on research and development credit studies, including for a client that claimed over $20 million in federal and state credits, and a meals and entertainment study for a utility company in the southeast, which used statistical sampling. Additionally, she has assisted with tax planning and defense for companies in the manufacturing, construction and software industries. Ms. Cooper served on teams that submitted Requests for Proposal to an EY G360 client and for a large in-bound Canadian company. She is a certified public accountant. Before becoming a CPA, Ms. Cooper practiced law at a multi-state creditor's rights firm, where she specialized in pre- and post-judgment collections. Her experience includes representing institutional clients in state and federal court actions. Ms. Cooper also worked on the firm's litigation team that defended attorneys in federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) cases. In law school, she served as a tax extern in the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, where she helped with a complex tax shelter case. Ms. Cooper earned her B.A. degree from Bellarmine University, her M.A. degree from Trinity College Dublin and J.D. degree from University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Kentucky and Indiana.

David B. Shotwell
earned his Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law. Since 2005, Mr. Shotwell has owned and his operated his own practice in the areas of elder law, probate, wills/estates and trusts, guardianships, Medicaid and long-term care planning, and all forms of litigation arising out of those practices. He is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education courses for attorneys, accountants, and paralegals. In addition to operating his practice, Mr. Shotwell is the program director of the paralegal program and a full time paralegal instructor at Spokane Community College in Spokane, Washington. Ms. Shotwell has published a book on estate administration, Principles of Wills, Trusts, & Estate Administration.

Hubert Klein
is a partner with Eisner Advisory Group LLC. He specializes in providing litigation support, forensic accounting and business valuation services. Mr. Klein also has experience in providing traditional accounting services such as financial statement and tax return preparation, financial analysis, and consulting services for closely held businesses. In addition to being a certified public accountant, he earned his accredited in business valuation (ABV) and certified in financial forensics (CFF) designations from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Mr. Klein also received his credentials as a certified valuation analyst (CVA) from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) and as a certified fraud examiner (CFE) from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). With more than 20 years of experience, he is frequently called upon as a technical resource in various litigation actions. Mr. Klein has consulted and provided services in matters including complex business valuations, due diligence analysis, fraud investigations, matrimonial proceedings, damage assessments, lost profit calculations, shareholder disputes, insurance claims analysis, succession planning, and estate and gift planning. In addition, he has served as an agreed upon neutral expert and as an expert witness appointed by judges in the above types of matters and to issue reports for the courts on these cases. Mr. Klein also has been appointed by various courts to serve as a receiver and court's independent forensic auditor in various civil litigation matters. He frequently speaks to groups on topics such as business valuation, financial issues related to matrimonial disputes, forensic accounting techniques, identity theft, internal control procedures and succession planning. Mr. Klein earned his B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Johnson & Wales University, as well as his Associate of Science degree. He is a member of the AICPA, NJSCPA, NACVA, ACFE and Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA).

Diane M. Hagerty
has helped hundreds of clients solve their tax and small business issues in a relaxed, no-pressure atmosphere and without judgment. She holds a B.S.B.A. degree in accounting and management and is licensed by the IRS as an enrolled agent. This is the highest credential awarded by the IRS, allowing Ms. Hagerty to represent taxpayers in all tax issues. She also attends a minimum of 24 hours of school each year to keep up with the ever-changing laws. Grass Roots Taxes grew from her learning the system of taxes by running several small businesses over the years, then moving on to help other businesses with her experience in 2001. The first office near the Fayetteville Square opened in 2010, and moved to the current location in Springdale in August 2022.

Tara Gaschler Salinas
is a founding and managing member of Salinas Law Group LLC, a Denver, Colorado law firm specializing in complex Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, bankruptcy litigation and appeals. Ms. Salinas has served as the vice chairman of the Bankruptcy Local Rules Committee for the District of Colorado. She has also served as a member of two merit selection panels for the Tenth Circuit, evaluating candidates for bankruptcy judicial positions in the District of Colorado. Ms. Salinas graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law. She is a regular panelist for local, regional and national seminars.

Allen Buckley
is an attorney and certified public accountant with Allen Buckley LLC in Atlanta. He practices in the areas of employee benefits (including pension and welfare benefits); executive compensation; ERISA and HIPAA; taxation, including IRS and Georgia controversy and collections matters; IRAs; complex returns; planning; whistleblower matters; estate (and lifetime) planning and general business planning, including (if desired) analysis of impacts of actions on entitlement eligibility, administrative law, litigation (often handled with one or more other attorneys) with respect to all of the above and minority shareholder/member representation; and general business law, including contracts and entity formation and dissolution. Mr. Buckley is the author of a host of articles on employee benefits and tax topics. He earned his B.A. degree from Kent State University, his J.D. degree from University of Georgia and his LL.M. degree in taxation from the University of Florida.
