Speaker bio
A. Michelle Poss
is a sole practitioner in Nashville. She represents clients in the practice areas of elder law; disability and probate, including estate administrations, conservatorships and guardianships; trust administrations; Social Security; and VA claims. Ms. Poss is a VA accredited attorney and a Rule 31 general civil mediator. She is licensed to practice in all Tennessee courts, and is admitted to the Tennessee Supreme Court and the U.S. Federal Courts. Ms. Poss is an active member of the Nashville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and the Conservatorship Association of Tennessee. She is a former president of the Conservatorship Association of Tennessee, previous co-chair of the NBA Probate Committee, and previous board member of CASA and the St. Thomas Foundation Murfree Circle. Ms. Poss earned her B.S. degree from the Middle Tennessee State University and her J.D. degree from Nashville School of Law.

Stacy E. Thompson
is a partner in the law firm of Bluestein Thompson Sullivan, LLC, in Columbia, South Carolina. She practices exclusively in the area of Social Security Disability. Ms. Thompson is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR) and has been a member of the NOSSCR Board representing the Fourth and D.C. circuits. She also is a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice, American Association for Justice, South Carolina Women Lawyers Association, South Carolina Bar, and the Richland County Bar Association. Ms. Thompson is chair of the Social Security Disability Section of the South Carolina Association for Justice (formerly South Carolina Trial Lawyers) and is a member of the South Carolina Bar Publications Committee and Pro Bono Committee. She has been a speaker at numerous seminars regarding Social Security Disability throughout the state. Ms. Thompson earned her B.A. degree from the University of South Carolina Honors College, her J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law and her Master of International Business Studies degree from the Darla Moore School of Business.

Hudson T. Ellis
is a partner at Eric Buchanan & Associates, PLLC, where he practices in the areas on individual disability, long-term disability benefits, life insurance, disability claims for doctors, SSDI, and more. He earned his bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, from Bryan College and his J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law. Mr. Ellis is a board member of the Tennessee Trial Lawyer's Association (TTLA) and is current president of the Board for Canyon Creek Christian Academy. He is admitted to practice law in Tennessee.

Jason A. Jenkins
is an attorney with Gravis Law, LLC specializing in disability law and takes pride in advocating for and helping those with disabilities. Prior to coming to Gravis Law, he practiced Social Security law as a solo practitioner for seven years. Mr. Jenkins has successfully represented hundreds of disability claimants through the Southeast United States. He earned his B.A. degree from Florida Atlantic University and his J.D. degree from St. Thomas University College of Law. Mr. Jenkins is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claims Representatives (NOSSCR) and the National Association of Disability Representatives (NADR). He is admitted to practice in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Ralph M. Crystal
Ph.D., CRC, LPC, has a doctoral degree in rehabilitation psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After receiving this degree he was appointed as director of a rehabilitation research institute at the University of Michigan where he conducted labor market studies and research related to the effectiveness of the state vocational rehabilitation program. Dr. Crystal was appointed to the faculty and coordinator of the Rehabilitation Education Program at the University of Kentucky in 1981. He has been on the roster of vocational experts with the Social Security Office of Disability, Adjudication and Review and has conducted studies of employability in worker compensation, personal injury, wrongful death, child, and domestic relations matters for more than 25 years. In addition, Dr. Crystal has been published in the area of disability and employment.

Jameson Young
is an attorney with Keller & Keller LLP and has been focusing on Social Security Disability cases for over a decade. He graduated cum laude from DePauw University and went on to earn his J.D. degree with honors from Indiana University's Maurer School of Law, where he was Managing Editor of the Indiana Law Journal. Mr. Young is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and the National Association of Disability Representatives. He has handled thousands of disability hearings, argued before the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, and recently authored his firm's Social Security guidebook, Unlocking Social Security: Your Essential Guide, which is available on the Keller & Keller website.
