Andrea L. Barr
launched Barr Law, PLLC after serving as managing attorney of RMO LLP's Houston office for almost two years. After seeing how she could run a satellite office of another firm, she decided to venture out on her own and hang her shingle. A seasoned probate litigator, Mrs. Barr's area of practice includes defending and prosecuting causes of action on behalf and against heirs, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, and creditors in probate, trust, guardianship, and power of attorney proceedings. Mrs. Barr also handles contested estate, probate and trust administrations. Mrs. Barr is from College Station, Texas and moved to Houston, Texas in 2000. She graduated from University of Houston and University of Houston Law Center. In the context of probate litigation, Mrs. Barr has experience handling several commercial real estate transactions (including acreage), commercial and dram shop liability litigation, equitable and statutory bill of review proceedings, and appeals. She defends wrongfully accused fiduciaries but also prosecutes fiduciaries who have abused their position. Mrs. Barr also has extensive experience pursuing and defending will contests and trust contests, including claims for incapacity, undue influence, financial elder abuse, fraud and forgery.

Kenneth Patterson
is an attorney Mayer LLP. He has been a trial lawyer for over 43 years, primarily defending personal injury and medical malpractice cases on behalf of his clients. Mr. Patterson has tried cases in 20 different Texas counties and has completed approximately 80 major medical malpractice trials. He has a remarkable track record of success, having achieved a favorable verdict for his clients in the vast majority of cases tried. Mr. Patterson has also had many trial and appellate successes in non-medical matters. He has been repeatedly named as a Texas Super Lawyers and has the rank of Advocate in the invitation-only prestigious American Board of Trial Lawyers (ABOTA). Mr. Patterson is adept at handling all types of personal injury and wrongful death cases. He has primarily defended physicians, but also represents several hospitals, including Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo. Mr. Patterson also protects physicians and other health care providers before the Texas Medical Board, Texas Board of Nurse Examiners and other regulatory agencies. He earned his B.A. degree from Baylor University and his J.D. degree from Baylor University Law School.

Ruth Rivera
is an attorney at Ruth Rivera Law. She focuses her practice on civil litigation matters, including business disputes, insurance coverage, and breach of contract. Ms. Rivera is a member of the State Bar of Texas (including the Insurance Law and Litigation sections), Houston Bar Association, Mexican American Bar Association of Houston, and the Houston Association of Women Attorneys. She earned her B.A. degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and her J.D. degree from the University of Houston Law Center where she graduated in the top 15% of her class.

Cynthia Tari
is a partner based in the Dallas office of Wood Smith Henning & Berman LLP, and trial lead for the construction defect and design professional liability practices across Texas. She and her supporting professionals actively defend multi-million dollar construction disputes concerning major commercial and residential projects both in civil court and arbitration. Ms. Tari advises and defends national and regional general contractors and owners on matters ranging from defect litigation, delay, disruption and acceleration claims, change-order and project administrative disputes, and risk transfer claims, in the context of Owner-Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP) and Contractor-Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIP); as well as involving liabilities arising under GL and Builder’s Risk policies of insurance. She earned her B.A. degree in art and her BArch degree from Rice University, and her J.D. degree from University of Houston Law Center.

Rey Flores
is a partner at Ahmad, Zavitsanos & Mensing. He represents clients in complex commercial disputes and wrongful death and catastrophic injury matters across the country and internationally. Mr. Flores' representations span a variety of business sectors including the oil and gas, construction, petrochemical, heavy equipment, healthcare, building materials, automation, and retail industries. His prior litigation experience includes work as both a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney, as a special prosecutor for the State of Texas, and as lead defense counsel in various high-profile cases with significant national security implications. Mr. Flores is a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, an honor reserved for 1/3 of 1% of Texas attorneys, is a member of the Calvert Inn of Court in Austin. He is on the Advisory Board of the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston and serves on Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher's Service Academy Nomination Panel. Mr. Flores earned his B.S. degree from United States Military Academy West Point and his J.D. degree from The University of Texas School of Law.

is of counsel at Ajamie LLP. He is a seasoned trial lawyer who handles high-stakes litigation in federal and state courts and before arbitration panels across the country. With experience in a wide range of disputes, Mr. Petree has successfully tried multiple cases through final judgment and domestic and international arbitration hearings through final award. He has prosecuted and defended against a wide variety of claims, ranging from breach of contract, fraud, and tortious interference to breach of fiduciary duties, defamation, and RICO. Mr. Petree regularly represents executives, directors, and investors concerning issues of fiduciary duties, governance, corporate compliance, and securities. He also frequently advises clients on negotiations of governing company agreements, service contracts, and sale and purchase agreements. Mr. Petree's clients come from various industries, including energy (upstream, midstream, export, retail, and oilfield services), investments and banking, healthcare, aerospace, construction, and real estate development.
