Speaker bio
Kyle A. McClain
is a shareholder at Zangari Cohn Cuthbertson Duhl & Grello P.C., where his practice concentrates on labor, employment, and education law. In the areas of labor and employment law, he exclusively represents the interests of management, including a broad array of both private and public sector clients ranging from corporations and individual business owners to Connecticut municipalities and boards of education. Mr. McClain provides counsel on a full range of workplace and employment law issues such as hiring, termination, discipline, investigations, employee relations, benefits, wage and hour matters, compliance with state and federal laws, and internal policies and procedures. His labor practice involves negotiating collective bargaining agreements, contract administration, and labor relations, including defending grievance arbitration and unfair labor practice claims. A significant portion of his practice is dedicated to education law, advising boards of education and their superintendents and other administrators on both traditional labor and employment law issues within the school context, as well education-specific topics like student conduct and discipline including expulsion hearings, school accommodations matters, special education matters under the IDEA and Section 504, teacher tenure and termination, compliance with state and federal education laws, and board and district policy and governance. Mr. McClain is active as a speaker on legal topics and in the Connecticut Bar Association, where he is a member of the Executive Committee of the Labor and Employment Law Section. He received his B.S. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Isenberg School of Management, and his J.D. degree from Boston College Law School.

Anne Tomasello
is a senior attorney at Scott Law Team, where she represents employees in many types of labor and employment matters under federal, state, and local laws, including, but not limited to noncompete agreements, non-solicitation agreements, and other employment contracts; independent contractor agreements; severance agreements; discrimination and harassment claims; and family and medical leaves of absence. Ms. Tomasello earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida and her J.D. degree from Mercer University School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Florida and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern districts of Florida.

Quentin F. Smith
is a shareholder/director in the law firm of Stelzner, Winter, Warburton, Flores & Dawes, P.A., where he focuses his practice on employment and labor law, and general civil litigation. Mr. Smith has successfully defended employers against a wide variety of lawsuits, such as discrimination and sexual harassment claims, retaliatory discharge claims, breach-of-contract claims, and whistleblower claims. He is a member of the State Bar of New Mexico, State Bar of Texas, Albuquerque and American bar associations, New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association, and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Mr. Smith is admitted to practice in New Mexico and Texas; and before the U.S. District Court District of New Mexico and U.S. Court of Appeals Tenth Circuit. He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Texas Christian University and his J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of New Mexico School of Law, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
