is general counsel for TLC Management, Inc., a multi-state long term care company. He is a registered mediator and a senior certified HR professional with SHRM and HRCI. During his nearly 21 years of practice, Mr. Doss has worked as a staff attorney for UAW-GM, as an employment and labor administrative law judge, and as a business law adjunct professor. He is a disabled veteran who served eight years as an infantry soldier and drill instructor. Mr. Doss leads TLC’s management and HR teams against charges filed with federal and state administrative agencies, litigates lawsuits, and represents management in mediations. He handles a wide range of matters, with a particular emphasis on federal and state employment law matters including drug testing; wage and hour laws, medical leaves of absence and disability accommodation; domestic violence; mental health; unfair competition and trade secrets; employee relations; protecting against claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; and compliance. Mr. Doss earned his J.D. degree from Northern Illinois University and is the chair-elect for the Indiana State Bar Association’s Employment, Labor, and Benefits Section.
