Eraka L. Childs
is an estate planning, probate, guardianship and family law attorney at The Childs Law Firm P.C. As an experienced trial attorney, her practice emphasizes helping people to build, preserve and pass on their wealth. Ms. Childs works with her clients to accomplish their goals while avoiding unnecessary court proceedings and minimizing or eliminating exposure to death taxes. She received her B.A. degree from Southwestern University and her J.D. degree from South Texas College of Law Houston. Ms. Childs is licensed to practice law in Texas.

Matthew A. Doss
is general counsel for TLC Management, Inc., a multi-state long term care company. He is a registered mediator and a senior certified HR professional with SHRM and HRCI. During his nearly 21 years of practice, Mr. Doss has worked as a staff attorney for UAW-GM, as an employment and labor administrative law judge, and as a business law adjunct professor. He is a disabled veteran who served eight years as an infantry soldier and drill instructor. Mr. Doss leads TLC’s management and HR teams against charges filed with federal and state administrative agencies, litigates lawsuits, and represents management in mediations. He handles a wide range of matters, with a particular emphasis on federal and state employment law matters including drug testing; wage and hour laws, medical leaves of absence and disability accommodation; domestic violence; mental health; unfair competition and trade secrets; employee relations; protecting against claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; and compliance. Mr. Doss earned his J.D. degree from Northern Illinois University and is the chair-elect for the Indiana State Bar Association’s Employment, Labor, and Benefits Section. Mr. Doss is licensed to practice law in Federal and State courts of Florida and Indiana.

Thomas W. Pennington
is a professor of legal studies in the College of Business at Arkansas Tech University. He was general counsel for the university for 25 years. In 2004, 2012, 2014, and 2016, he was selected as Professor of the Year by the Arkansas Tech University student body. Undergraduate courses Professor Pennington has taught include business law, introduction to criminal justice, judicial process, juvenile justice, and employment law. Graduate courses taught include public school law and higher education law.

Jennifer A. Riley
is vice chair of Duane Morris LLP's workplace class action group, and has defended companies faced with significant complex litigation matters for more than two decades. She regularly defends companies facing class actions, collective actions, pattern or practice lawsuits, and other types of representative proceedings, ranging in size from dozens to tens of thousands of claims. Working on the forefront of the developing law in an ever-changing arena, Ms. Riley regularly develops strategies for navigating some of the largest challenges faced by corporate America today and counsels employers confronted with a range of complex employment law theories that span from claims of discrimination or sexual harassment to myriad types of alleged wage and hour violations. She earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University and her J.D. degree from University of California, Berkeley School of Law. Ms. Riley is licensed to practice law in Illinois; Supreme Court of Illinois; New York; Court of Appeals of the State of New York; U.S. District Court for the Northern, Southern, and Central districts of Illinois; Western, Eastern, and Southern districts of New York; Eastern and Western districts of Arkansas; District of Colorado; Eastern District of Michigan; Western District of Tennessee; Southern District of Texas; Northern and Southern districts of Indiana; and Eastern District of Wisconsin. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third, Sixth, Seventh and Ninth circuits.
