Speaker bio
Erin Aronson
is a shareholder with Eastburn & Gray PC in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She handles employment matters on behalf of both employers and employees, including claims of workplace discrimination on the basis of sex, race, ethnicity, or disability, which arise under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (PHRA). In addition, Ms. Aronson advises clients regarding issues related to the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act and Wage Payment and Collection Law. She regularly negotiates and prepares employment contracts and severance agreements on behalf of both employers and employees. Ms. Aronson is a member of the Education and School Law practice group, in which she advises clients regarding a wide array of issues, including school discipline, students' Constitutional rights, and special education matters under both Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA). Additionally, she handles all aspects of special education due process hearings. Ms. Aronson also advises clients regarding the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law, and has successfully argued on appeal before the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Bucks County Bar Association (Women's Lawyer Division and the Young Lawyers Division, member). Ms. Aronson earned her B.A. degree from University of Delaware and her J,D. degree, cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law.

Elizabeth Mincer
is an attorney with Duane Morris LLP, where she practices in the area of labor and employment. She works with employers on a range of workplace issues, including compliance with federal, state and local laws governing the workplace. Ms. Mincer assists employers by drafting employee policies and handbooks, including COVID-19 health and safety plans and policies, confidentiality and restrictive covenant agreements, and termination and severance agreements. She also represents employers in litigation at both the state and federal level in a range of employment matters, including age, race, gender, and disability discrimination, sexual and racial harassment, labor and unionization, and wage and hour laws. Ms. Mincer earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Smith College; and her J.D. degree from William & Mary School of Law, where she was awarded the Thomas Jefferson Prize for best note and the Hermann Prize for demonstrating great potential for contributing to the enhancement of the efficient administration of justice through the innovative use of technology.

Douglas C. Hart
is a member in the Pittsburgh office of Burns White LLC. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, where his primary focus is in the areas of commercial litigation, employment litigation and real estate. Mr. Hart defends employers in state and federal agencies, and counsels management in a wide variety of matters involving employment issues. He also has significant experience litigating matters involving restrictive covenants such as non-compete and confidentiality agreements. Mr. Hart is a member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County bar associations. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Pittsburgh, his M.B.A. degree from Duquesne University, and his J.D. degree from Duquesne University.

Gery T. Nietupski
is with Law Offices of Nietupski Angelone LLC in Erie, Pennsylvania. He is an honors graduate of both John Carroll University and the Duquesne University School of Law. At Duquesne, Dr. Nietupski earned the law school's highest honor, the Distinguished Student award. He has taught a variety of classes at both Gannon and Edinboro University for over 40 years, and is a frequent and sought after lecturer for several professional employment organizations, including the Manufacturer and Business Association of Northwestern Pennsylvania. Dr. Nietupski focuses his extensive practice in representing employers and employees in their workplace relationships. He has negotiated approximately 80 labor contracts for management, has weathered nine strikes, and has litigated hundreds of cases before state and federal courts, as well as the NLRB, EEOC, OSHA, wage and hour and the PHRC.

Kathryn Speaker MacNett
is a shareholder in the law firm of Mette, Evans & Woodside. Ms. Speaker MacNett focuses her practice on assisting businesses with the burgeoning web of labor/employment laws/regulations and audits, and related legislative and regulatory developments. Her practice combines practical preventive approaches to labor relations matters and representation of employers before federal and state administrative agencies and courts. She represents public and private sector employers in a wide range of labor and employment law matters, including wage and hour compliance (both state and federal), workers’ and unemployment compensation, FMLA, prevailing wage disputes, discrimination complaints, restrictive covenant enforcement, handbook and policy preparation, unfair labor practices, union organizational defenses, collective bargaining negotiations, strikes, injunctions, and contempt proceedings. Ms. Speaker MacNett earned her B.A. degree from Immaculata College; her M.G.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania; her M.A. degree from St. Francis College; and her J.D. degree from Dickinson School of Law, now Penn State. She is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Dauphin County Bar Associations.

Kathryn L. Simpson
is a Shareholder with the law firm of Mette, Evans & Woodside. Ms. Simpson has handled a wide variety of cases focusing on commercial litigation, professional liability defense, labor and employment law, and health law. She also works proactively with clients to help them establish best practices and to recognize the potential for disputes so that they can be handled collaboratively before they result in litigation. Ms. Simpson is a former chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Federal Practice Committee and a past chair of the Professional Liability Committee. She is a former governor of Allegheny County's prestigious Academy of Trial Lawyers and is a master and vice-president of the William W. Lipsitt Chapter of the American Inns of Court. She is a member of the Dauphin, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations. Ms. Simpson earned her J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh Law School, her B.S. degree from The Pennsylvania State University, and M.B.A. degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a frequent speaker and author of continuing legal education course materials for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
