Jonathan S. Robbins
is a partner at Akerman LLP where he serves as the leader of Akerman's Cannabis Practice, counseling clients on the evolving, complex legal and business issues impacting companies with interests in the regulated substances industries. Mr. Robbins has been published and quoted in national media outlets such as U.S. News & World Report, The American Lawyer, Politico, Washington Post, and Law360. He is a founding board member of the National Cannabis Bar Association and is also an active member of the National Cannabis Industry Association. In addition to his work in the cannabis industry, Mr. Robbins has 25 years of experience handling complex regulatory and litigation matters. He represents public and private companies and individuals in complex regulatory and litigation matters in the financial services sector. Mr. Robbins' experience encompasses investigations and administrative and enforcement proceedings brought by federal, state, and self-regulatory bodies, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Florida Attorney General's Office, Florida Department of Financial Services, and Florida Office of Insurance Regulation. He is a go-to resource for broker-dealers and registered persons in securities-related cases filed in both federal and state courts, as well as in FINRA arbitration proceedings addressing both customer and sector disputes. Mr. Robbins earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from the University of Michigan and his J.D. degree from the University of Florida-Frederic G. Levin College of Law.

Vijay S. Choksi
is an accomplished cannabis law attorney, who leverages an insider's understanding of the business to serve the commercial and regulatory needs of clients in the medical and adult-use marijuana industries. His in-house experience means that in addition to possessing detailed knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations that govern the legal cannabis, health care and CBD sectors, he understands their practical implications for operations. Former general counsel and senior director of compliance for one of Florida's leading vertically integrated medical marijuana companies, Mr. Choksi is also well-versed in corporate matters, and has negotiated contracts governing nearly all aspects of the business, including security, lab testing, business associate relationships and commercial leases. His broad experience includes handling privacy and risk management issues, securing use variances with the Department of Health Office of Medical Marijuana Use and developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with a broad spectrum of state and federal regulations, including HIPAA, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Food Drug and Cosmetics Act (FDCA), OSHA regulations and Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). In fact, Mr. Choksi's role as general counsel involved him in nearly every aspect of the business, from media relations to information technology. He earned his B.S. degree from University of Central Florida and his J.D. degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law.

Zachary R. Kobrin
is a partner with the Fort Lauderdale office of Saul Ewing LLP. Drawing on his experience as a former general counsel for two companies, he is a transactional and regulatory lawyer who understands that business clients want practical advice on how to complete deals and navigate complex statutory and regulatory regimes affecting their growth and daily operations. Mr. Kobrin is the former vice president and general counsel for Trulieve Cannabis Corp., where he led and managed the company's in-house and outside legal team in a $2.1 billion acquisition that turned the company into one of the largest cannabis operators in the United States. He also previously worked as general counsel and chief compliance officer for Cansortium Holdings LLC, a multinational cannabis company focusing on medical uses. While Mr. Kobrin is a trusted legal advisor to a variety of industries, his knowledge and experience is particularly deep in the cannabis industry. Businesses ranging from multi-national cannabis companies to start-ups and ancillary support companies look to him for advice on business formation and development, corporate organization and structuring, and complex contract negotiations. A sampling of his transactional experience includes overseeing the formation of more than 20 cannabis-related companies across multiple states and countries and assisting a U.S. cannabis operator with the preparation of their initial public offering on the Canadian Securities Exchange. On the regulatory and compliance side of his practice, Mr. Kobrin advises on issues such as crafting and seeking approvals for licensing applications and transfers and preparing and filing federal and state regulatory registrations. He also helps clients develop corporate infrastructure and governance models, regulatory and banking compliance protocols, as well as navigate insurance issues. Mr. Kobrin is also a member of the board of directors for the International Cannabis Bar Association, and he speaks frequently at business, legal and industry events for cannabis, marijuana, hemp and psychedelics companies. In addition to his cannabis work, he advises companies on antitrust issues, particularly the premerger notification and the merger review process required under the Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act. Mr. Kobrin also assists with HSR reportability and transaction structure issues.

Bonnie L. Mackey
is a certified public accountant with the Florida office of Levin, Silvey, Zelko & Mackey, P.A., where her background includes all facets of accounting, including financial statement and tax preparation, as well as computer software and bookkeeping assistance. She is also a certified Quickbooks Pro advisor. Ms. Mackey graduated from the University of South Florida with an extended B.S. degree in business administration and earned her MBA degree from Keller Graduate School of Devry University. In 2000, she earned her certified specialist in estate planning (CSEP) designation from the National Institute for Excellence in Professional Education, LLC, and in 2011 attained accredited estate planner status. Additionally, Ms. Mackey is an instructor for the Becker CPA Review course, an FICPA Ethics course facilitator and a frequent lecturer on various topics. She is the past-president for the FICPA N. Dade S. Broward Chapter, American Woman's Society of CPAs - S. Florida Affiliate, and the North Dade/South Broward Estate Planning Council, past treasurer for the Broward County Guardianship Association, National AWSCPA VP of Regions and on the Trust Advisory Board for MonarchCare, Inc., as well as its immediate past chair, in addition to the firm's other affiliations.

As head of the cannabis practice at Ritter Spencer Cheng PLLC, she represents clients in every facet of the cannabis and hemp industries, including dispensaries, growers, processors, manufacturers, retailers, and more for their business needs. Ms. Spencer's transactional practice focuses on licensing, regulatory compliance, and other business matters. She frequently writes, speaks, and presents on issues affecting the cannabis industry at conferences and forums across the United States. In addition to her representation of cannabis clients, Ms. Spencer is an experienced trademark attorney. She has successfully secured registration of numerous federal trademarks for her clients and manages worldwide trademark portfolios. Ms. Spencer's trademark practice also encompasses transactional issues such as trademark licensing, consent and coexistence agreements, and assignments. She is nationally recognized for her trademark work with cannabis clients across the United States. Ms. Spencer has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in the cannabis practice area by Thomson Reuters and has been awarded the Client Champion distinction by Martindale-Hubbell. She is president of the Texas Hemp Legal Fund, serves as chair of the International Cannabis Bar Association's Amicus Committee, and serves as vice president on the Board of Directors for the Texas Cannabis Council. Ms. Spencer has helped draft cannabis legislation at both the federal and state levels and routinely advises state legislatures in regard to crafting effective cannabis policies. She attended the University of Miami School of Law in Miami, Florida, where she was an Outstanding Merit scholar and member of the Charles C. Papy Moot Court Board, Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Fraternity, and Alpha Epilson Lambda Graduate Honor Society. While practicing in Miami, Ms. Spencer served as the University of Miami's Moot Court coach for the BMI Cardozo Entertainment Law and Pepperdine Entertainment Law competition teams.
