represents banks, finance companies, and other large institutional lenders in connection traditional mortgage loans for single-asset or portfolio deals, mezzanine loans, and other financing and investment mechanisms. He represents borrowers obtaining agency financing, acquisitions, and dispositions of multi-family, commercial, and industrial properties, and office leasing. Dominic also represents finance companies in secondary market repurchase facility work transactions. Dominic’s leasing experience includes drafting, negotiating, and reviewing office, retail, and industrial leases, amendments, and lease termination agreements, predominantly for eight downtown Chicago high-rise office buildings and two suburban Chicago high-rise office buildings. He assists clients with the purchase and/or sale of commercial real estate, including drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, title, survey, and zoning examination, and drafting and reviewing reciprocal easement and operating agreements. Before going into private practice, Dominic served as in-house counsel for Black Lion Investment Group, Inc. He earned his B.A. degree from University of Miami; his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, California Western School of Law; and his LL.M, degree, magna cum laude, from University of Southern California Gould School of Law.

He is an adjunct professor at Northwestern University School of Law. Mr. Spellmire has numerous publications and has spoken at several CLE seminars in his areas of practice. He is a member of the Chicago, Illinois State and American (Standing Committee on Professional Liability) bar associations. Mr. Spellmire also is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (Advocacy Practice and Procedure Committee, Legal Malpractice Committee, Medical Malpractice Committee, Professional Errors and Omissions Substantive Law Committee), Society of Trial Lawyers and American College of Trial Lawyers (fellow). is an attorney at Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit. She has extensive experience in assisting landlords and property managers with rental property issues, including: evictions, building code violations, construction defect litigation, disputes (third party, tenant, vendor), and lease/contract review to confirm compliance with state statutes and local ordinances. Ms. Ryan has a wide-range of experience in landlord/tenant litigation and is well-versed in the Chicago Residential Landlord Tenant Ordinance (RLTO) as well as the Cook County Residential Tenant and Landlord Ordinance (RTLO). She also assists condominum, homeowner(HOA) and Townhime associations with forcible entry and detainer issues, covenant and rule enforcement, and collection of damages and fees  In addition, Ms. Ryan has successfully argued before the Second District Appellate Court and prevailed over motions brought in the Illinois Supreme Court. She is a frequent speaker at industry tradeshows and community seminars. Ms. Ryan regularly contributes articles to local and national publications addressing relevant and timely landlord/tenant issues. She currently serves on the Chicagoland Apartment Association (CAA) Board of Directors and acts as local counsel to the National Apartment Association. Ms. Ryan earned her B.A. degree from Indiana University and her J.D. degree from University of San Diego School of Law.

is a partner with the Chicago firm of Schain Banks Kenny & Schwartz, Ltd., where he represents commercial real estate brokerage firms, landlords, tenants, and commercial real estate investors, assisting in all phases of commercial and residential real estate. Mr. Hochman is a frequent speaker on real estate broker-related legal issues for state and local estate organizations. He co-wrote and sponsored the Illinois Commercial Real Estate Broker Lien Act; and through his drafting and lobbying efforts, several other states have adopted similar statutes. Mr. Hochman is also active in support of license portability legislation for commercial real estate brokers, and is the architect and drafter of statutes in several estates on that issue as well. He earned his A.B. degree from Brown University and his J.D. degree from Boston University School of Law.

Having had trials and appeals to the appellate and supreme courts throughout the country, Mr. Shonder has practiced at all levels of the state and federal court systems. He is admitted to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois and U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit. Mr. Shonder has also appeared pro hac vice in Connecticut, Florida, Kansas, Minnesota, Ohio and Tennessee. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law in 1996, where he was awarded various scholarships and honors. Mr. Shonder is a graduate of the prestigious Chicago Musical College of Roosevelt University and holds a Master of Music degree from DePaul University.
