Jonah Rappazzo
is an attorney in Dickinson Wright's Phoenix office. He is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience representing clients in business, insurance, and liability disputes. In the insurance industry, Mr. Rappazzo helps insurers navigate complex disputes involving coverage issues, claims handling, and bad faith. Outside of insurance work, Mr. Rappazzo represents construction companies, financial institutions, and business owners involved in high stakes litigation. Mr. Rappazzo is admitted to practice in the state of Arizona.

Bryce Kessler
is an associate in Dickinson Wright LLP's Phoenix office. He has experience in real estate law, including tax lien foreclosures, easements, and property damage, as well as a wide array of other areas of litigation involving personal injury, dram shop liability, breach of contract, partnership agreements, defamation, tortious interference with business relationships, construction defect, mechanics liens, employment law, and products liability. Mr. Kessler presented arguments to the Arizona Supreme Court on behalf of tax lien holders regarding Arizona's statutory pre-litigation notice requirements to tax lien foreclosure lawsuits and obtained a favorable unanimous decision, vacating the adverse ruling of the Arizona Court of Appeals. He also successfully represented judgment creditors in dismissing various lawsuits in which judgment debtors sought to set aside Sheriff's Sales and recover damages against the judgment creditors. Mr. Kessler earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude from Arizona State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, where we received the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards. He is admitted to practice in the state of Arizona.

Daniel B. Bernardone
is an Arizona litigator whose practice primarily consists of commercial litigation, insurance coverage, insurance bad-faith litigation, and civil litigation. Mr. Bernardone is a graduate of Arizona State University's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, where he served as executive editor of the Jurimetrics Law Journal, externed for the Honorable Michelle Burns (U.S. District Court, District of Arizona) and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. Mr. Bernardone's practice includes experience dealing with insurance carriers and insurance coverage issues. At his previous firm, he represented insurance companies in several capacities, usually by advising them on insurance coverage matters or defending them in bad-faith lawsuits. Through that experience, he has gained an intimate knowledge of how insurance policies work and what a carrier's duties to its policyholder are. As a result, clients often seek him out when dealing with insurance coverage and recovery issues or where there is a bad-faith claim. He has experience with both personal lines and commercial lines, including the following coverages: commercial general liability (CGL) and businessowners, commercial automobile liability, cyber liability, pollution, errors, and omission (malpractice), directors and officers, homeowners, dwelling, etc. He has also dealt with Damron/Morris-type agreements, a unique arrangement under Arizona law where, in certain circumstances, policyholders may avoid personal liability by assigning their rights to a claimant.

Paul D. Friedman
is chief litigation and general counsel with Brown, Crowell & Friedman, PLLC d/b/a Accident Law Group. He practices in the areas of medical malpractice, significant personal injury and ethics matters. Dr. Friedman is admitted to practice in Arizona, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is board-certified by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification in civil pretrial practice advocacy and civil trial advocacy (NBOTA). Dr. Friedman has been certified in injury and wrongful death litigation by the State Bar of Arizona since 1997. He is an associate with the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Dr. Friedman is also a medical malpractice diplomate with the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Examiners®, where he developed the curriculum for the Certified Forensic Consulting® Certification Course and authored the Certified Forensic Consultant Body of Knowledge by CRC Press. Dr. Friedman graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona. He earned his law degree from California Western School of Law, his master's degree in bioethics from Midwestern University/Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and his doctorate from LaCrosse University. Dr. Friedman was an adjunct professor of medical and research ethics at Midwestern University and the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he instructed health care providers and students in the medical field. He is currently an adjunct professor with the Sandra Day O'Connor School of Law at Arizona State University.

Aaron Dawson
is an attorney at Dawson Rosenthal committed to representing individuals against powerful corporations, government entities, and individuals. After passing the California and Oregon bar exams in 2012, Mr. Dawson initially ran his own law practice before joining the Eviction Defense Collaborative in San Francisco in 2016. As senior litigation counsel, he represented tenants in over 75 eviction cases, providing vital legal support for those facing housing instability. In 2021, Mr. Dawson joined Dawson & Rosenthal, where he focuses on challenging insurance companies that wrongfully deny claims. His practice includes a wide range of litigation and trial work, holding corporations accountable for their actions. Mr. Dawson graduated with a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2011, where he won numerous oral advocacy awards, including Best Oralist at the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition. He also served as co-president of the Environmental Law Society and earned recognition for his academic and pro bono work. Mr. Dawson holds a B.A. from Lewis & Clark College and is licensed to practice law in Arizona, California, and Oregon.

is an experienced attorney at Dawson & Rosenthal, P.C. with a diverse legal background, currently focusing on civil litigation and insurance claims. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of San Francisco in 2011 and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in 2015. After passing the California and Arizona bar exams in the same year, Ms. Dawson began her career in criminal defense, where she handled hundreds of felony cases and participated in numerous jury trials over the course of four years. This experience provided her with invaluable trial skills and a deep understanding of the criminal justice system. In 2020, Ms. Dawson transitioned to civil litigation, specifically practicing employment law, before joining Dawson & Rosenthal. At Dawson & Rosenthal, her practice now focuses on taking on insurance companies that wrongfully deny claims in pursuit of profit, advocating for individuals who have been unfairly treated by these powerful institutions. Ms. Dawson's career is defined by her strong commitment to justice and her dedication to ensuring that her clients receive the support and compensation they deserve. She is licensed to practice law in both California and Arizona.
