H. David Clark, III
is an attorney with Phelps Dunbar LLP, where he practices in the area of labor and employment, representing both private and public employers in defense of Section 1983 civil rights claims, Title VII and other discrimination suits, and wage and hour matters under the Fair Labor Standards Act. As part of his practice, Mr. Clark also defends claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Equal Pay Act. He earned his B.S. degree in communications from Mississippi College and his J.D. degree, cum laude, National Order of Barristers from Mississippi College School of Law. Mr. Clark is a member of The Mississippi Bar, American Bar Association, Madison County Bar Association, Jackson Young Lawyers, and the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in Mississippi and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, as well as the U.S. District Court, Southern and Northern districts of Mississippi.

Whitney J. Jackson
is an attorney in the Jackson office of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation, employment, intellectual property, and privacy matters. Ms. Jackson has an illustrious track record of successfully handling complex legal cases. When she is not litigating, she is advising her clients on best practices to stay in legal compliance in their respective industries. Ms. Jackson earned her B.S. degree from Alcorn State University and her J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. She is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, American Bar Association, Magnolia Bar Association and National Bar Association.

Emily Barr Tate
is an attorney in the Jackson office of Watkins & Eager PLLC. She focuses her practice in the area of labor and employment law and litigation. Ms. Tate represents and defends employers in state and federal court litigation, and before administrative agencies. She also routinely counsels clients concerning human resources administration matters, including review of employee policies and agreements, leave administration, and other personnel matters. Ms. Tate earned her B.A. degree from the University of Georgia and her J.D. degree from the Mississippi College School of Law. She is a member of the Mississippi Bar, International Association of Defense Counsel and Defense Research Institute.

G. Weathers Virden, Jr.
is a partner in the Ridgeland office of The Chartwell Law Offices, LLP. He is a trial attorney with considerable experience leveraging effective defense strategies from investigation through resolution across a broad spectrum of civil litigation matters. Ms. Virden routinely handles accidents involving commercial motor vehicles, passenger vehicles, and other personal injury matters through all stages of litigation. He has also represented clients in business transactions, employment and labor, premises liability and product liability cases, and has experience in SIU claims investigation and defense. Mr. Virden earned his B.A. degree from Mississippi State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute and Mississippi Bar Association.

Jeff Weintraub
is senior counsel in the Memphis office of the management-side employment and labor firm Fisher & Phillips LLP. He represents employers in jury trials involving employment discrimination, harassment, whistleblower lawsuits, FLSA collective actions, and labor cases in all courts; including the U.S. Supreme Court and government agencies such as the EEOC and the NLRB. Mr. Weintraub is licensed in Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Missouri. He teaches the labor and employee relations segment in SHRM's HR Certification Course, and trains supervisors in such matters around the U.S. Mr. Weintraub earned his B.S. degree from the University of Memphis and his J.D. degree from the University of Memphis School of Law.

Peter L. Ostermiller
is a sole practitioner concentrating in legal ethics and professional responsibility matters. In 1980 he obtained his license to practice law in Kentucky. His legal ethics and professional responsibility law practice began in the mid -1980s and, since the mid-1990s has been his practice concentration. He represents attorneys in disciplinary and reinstatement proceedings, judges in judicial ethics matters, and bar exam applicants. Mr. Ostermiller has also represented parties in attorney's fee dispute proceedings, and attorneys in legal proceedings in which sanctions have been sought against the attorney. He has represented parties in attorney disqualification proceedings and counseled lawyers and law firms in their respective rights, responsibilities and duties to other attorneys and their clients. He also serves as an expert witness at the state and federal level regarding legal ethics and professional responsibility matters. Mr. Ostermiller is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association and Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers. Mr. Ostermiller earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Louisville.

advises employers on navigating complex federal and state employment laws, offering practical solutions to minimize risk and ensure compliance. She defends employers in discrimination cases before federal courts and the EEOC and provides strategic counsel on day-to-day compliance matters, including hiring and firing decisions, disciplinary issues, disability accommodations, and safety concerns. Anne Harlan has experience representing employers in lawsuits involving Title VII, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, FLSA, and retaliation claims, as well as specialized expertise in Davis-Bacon Act compliance for federal contractors. She also assists with NLRB charges, union grievances, and collective bargaining. By aligning her legal strategies with her clients' goals, Anne Harlan helps employers confidently address labor and employment challenges.
